Disappointing Experience Despite the Hype - Edit
Sadly, this place didn’t meet our expectations despite the many five-star reviews. It felt quite overpriced for what you actually get, and overall the experience was disappointing. The scrambled “eggs,” were underwhelming. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Great vegan choices and labellized correctly - Edit
This vegetarian and vegan restaurant offers an impressive selection of clearly labeled dishes and desserts.
Read moreThe restaurant is very pleasant and located on Monastiraki, a popular pedestrian shopping street in Athens.
You can enjoy toast dishes, vegetable omelets, wraps, Buddha bowls, salads, pasta, and even pizzas!
For dessert, there are acai bowls, smoothies, pancakes, waffles, and homemade energy bars.
The menu items are accompanied by pictures, which makes it easier to choose the right portion size.
I tried the “Nourishing Buddha Bowl”: “Organic red bean and quinoa ‘meatballs,’ avocado, zucchini noodles, beet hummus, chickpeas, pumpkin seeds, and beet sprouts.” It was delicious and filling, and the zucchini noodles were a unique touch.
For dessert, I treated myself to “Guilty” pancakes: peanut butter, banana, vegan chocolate spread, and strawberries.
A very warm welcome at this spot, which offers an interesting selection of vegan dishes!

Condescending and patronising - Edit
Middle aged host was very unwelcoming. When I asked what scrambled eggs are made of, is it tofu, is it vegan, he replied that it is vegan but not tofu and he will not tell me what it’s made of. I have allergies, he didn’t realise it is health danger. I had mild allergic reaction, my antihistamine tablet helped. But I could have avoided it if he told me ingredients. I asked if there are seating upstairs as we were 4, he said there is none even though the second floor was full of empty tables. I could understand if he’d told it’s closed. I was very hungry and that was the only reason I paid 12.5€ for tiny portion for mediocre scramble with few pieces of bread and raw cabbage. Nope. The first vegan “friendly’ place I give negative review in my life after travelling lots of counties in the world. If they have hospitality business, even if they are busy or frustrated, they cannot put that on customers. When I was asking questions, he was impatient and told me sarcastically: ‘more you talk, more I like you. Are you ordering?’ Next time let those young ladies to take orders, ar least they are lovely.

Lots of choice but quite pricey - Edit
Lots of vegan choice however 9 euros for a smoothie is quite high compared to other vendors around the square .

Great foot but not vegan - Edit
Loved the dishes we had - breakfast burrito and protein Buddha bowl but this isn’t a vegan establishment as sells Greek yoghurt and honey options. Slow service but worth the wait.

Very accommodating - Edit
We came in when it was rather full and the server was a little stressed but seated is rather fast and our order came a few minutes later. Good portion size, maybe a little smaller than expected.

Happy Blender is truly a sweet place with really great food. It’s wonderful not having to worry as a vegan whether a dish is actually vegan.

Good healthy food, nothing too special - Edit
They offer a good variety of vegan bowls with fresh ingredients in a very touristy area that caters mostly to meat eaters. Nothing too exciting, but a good choice if you want something quick and healthy

Healthy but wildly overpriced - Edit
I got the Mean Protein Buddha Bowl. It was mostly just a bowl of quinoa and lentils for €13.50. I'm glad for the healthy option, but these prices are high even for being in a tourist place.

Food is just ok, but sadly overpriced in tourism trap area , will not return ! - Edit
The friendly owner was there, he recommended me the vegan omelet. i paid €12,50 and I received just a few slices of bread with a couple of slices cabbage , and some chickpea omelet thing. For €12,50 you would expect to get a meal that is enough for the hunger. I just lost my €12,50 here with this omelet experiment, and still had to find something to eat elsewhere afterwards to get a real decent meal. This omelet was fine for a pre-order little snack, but nowhere worth the whopping €12,50. I would say €6,50 would be a fair price so you could still order something else to have a decent meal in total for your 12 euro's. The place is located in the middle of tourism trap area shops. That should have been a red flag for me, but i wanted to give it a chance. i would not return here again, just because of the trap tourism double price they charge because of their location. it is not worth it , no matter if the food quality is acceptable. Their price is not ! Staff is friendly but that still did not balance for their food price. I know the value of food, and this here is clearly overpriced for what you get. Not fair to the custumer ! No return here.

Good food and service - Edit
This restaurant offers a fully vegan menu, with the only vegetarian option being Greek yogurt. We tried the vegan scramble eggs and the vegan shakshuka eggs, and both were delicious and well seasoned. The textures were surprisingly satisfying, and the flavors were rich and comforting.

I agree. Yes overpriced was the big keyword here. Vegan should be fair priced. For that reason the place was disappointing. High price did not make sense for what you get.

Nice food but overpriced - Edit
I asked for extra bread and got told I would have to pay 1.50€ extra. I understand that a restaurant would charge for extra bread, but my dish (shakshuka eggs) was basically a sauce and came with a small portion of bread that wasn't enough for the whole dish, so at one point I was basically eating sauce with a fork. The fruit juice was good but the whole meal wasn't worth the price.

Cosy place with good food - Edit
This is a really cosy little place with an eye for details when it comes to the interior and paintings on the wall. I really liked the vibe of this place. We had a lovely chat with the owner, who gave us some insights of the concept, as we have been a bit confused in the beginning. As it is a bit of a mix between self service and being served, which we didn't fully understand in the beginning. Apart from that everything went really well and we loved the food 😋✌️
Read moreThey offer mostly vegan options, but they are not fully vegan. Hopefully they're gonna make the switch and veganize their few vegetarian options. Which would be really easy to do.
