I was here twice, great place. First time I went for the falafel and hummus plate, with pita. Very high quality, rich taste, came in a nice wooden bowl. They also use washable, reusable metal straws. Both of those choices spoke of an enviro-consciousness, which is to be appreciated.
I also ordered the 'Ensalada', which is a Philippine dish of sliced mango and tomato over grilled eggplant. Unfortunately the Ensalada came after the falafel/hummus plate, so I had to start my strategy after I had already had some hummus. But the thing to do is ensure they bring it at the same time, then eat the mango and tomato first, and save the grilled eggplant to go with the falafel and hummus.
They brought me an extra pita when I asked for it and that one came heated as if it had been on a grill, which made it even better. I would ask for that a priori in returning.
The second time I got the Israeli salad, which is a tomato and cucumber type dish, and paid to have them add a few falafel balls. Very good. I also got the sliced potatoes, which are crispy and tasty as they add a little himalayan salt.
They have a two-for-one happy hour until 8pm and their cocktails have three price levels, depending upon the quality of alcohol you choose. I got the mojito with mint and the price levels were 250/350/450 ($US 1 = 58 pesos). I got the 350 and it was great and with the two-for-one price, it is incredibly inexpensive.
The restaurant is part of a hostel, so there is a lot of high energy around of backpackers and digital nomads, both Filipinos and from around the world. There is a bar with music on the other side of the pool that is adjacent to the eating area. So if you want dinner and then bar action, this is a good place for that as well.
Also the waiter staff was very professional.
There is also a falafel place in the D-Mall. I went there and left when they didn't have tahini, even though it is listed as available. If you want a sit-down falafel dinner in a comfortable place, I would prioritize this one.
Lots of vegan options mostly middle eastern inspired but some bowls too including for breakfast. Good taste nice staff and good to work at for a couple of hours. Don't follow google maps directions it takes you to the back of the property and you can't get in go round the front on main road
