Little Corner of Vegan Heaven - Edit
I loved this entire corner of food trucks and bars. It has such a great vibe. Grab a beer from inside the bar and then head out to Happeas to order the glittery fried pickles with jalapeño ranch. And if you’re looking for an entire meal, my partner and I split the pickles and the massive chicken sandwich (I forget the name). It was more than enough food. The chicken sandwich was also covered in glitter. Both delicious AND fun 🤩

Cute little food truck. Pictures are completely accurate! The onion rings come stacked tall! Everything was delicious. I was thrilled to try it.

Unique food - Edit
Food is lovingly prepared. Menu items tend to evolve over time but the bulk of everything is based on their delicious fried chickn. If you must be in and out in 5 minutes I would not go here. Go on the weekends when you can afford to wait.

Of course it is amazing - Edit
Love me some HapPea Vegans! The owners, team members and food are amazing! You can tell how much love is put into their food creations. Food truck in Downtown with some parking around paid parking options near by. They open late, so perfect spot to visit after work weekends.

Well deserved praise - Edit
This is one of the best vegan food trucks in Austin; however, they are slightly gimmicky. The owner is an artist, I’ll give her that and I respect it, but sometimes I just want food that’s not covered in edible gold. Really awesome food that comes in such big portions I literally don’t know how to put my mouth around it. My partner has always hated pickles but orders the HapPea Vegans fried pickles every time we go. Get there before they sell out at night!
