This restaurant saved me because it closes later and I was able to eat while everything was closed lol the price is great, 20 singapore dollars for the combo with potatoes and a drink, I highly recommend it

Good for Omnis and Vegs

Fantastic vegan burger selection. Options for vegan cheese are always a plus. Great drink selection and nice date-night vibe at night or place to come with group of friends.

Great vegan burgers

Get a burger set. Comes with burger sides and two drinks (one hot, one cold). Many options for the burger, about 4 vegan ones, can top up for beer, cocktail/mocktails, additional patty and burger insides. Draft pilsner is vegan friendly.

I chose avocado hearty burger and it was delicious, too full to eat all my fries. Nice place to while away the afternoon, close to shaw cinema on orchard road. Sometimes open until 4am.

I always ignored this place as I just assumed there’s nothing I want to eat here but I’m happy to find out they have vegan burgers and even more than just 1 option. Give it a try.

Pros: Vegan burgers , Vegan condiments , Allergy card readily avail in the condiment tray

Cons: No plant milks

Love it.

Normally, burgers aren’t the option I go for when in a restaurant, unless the combination of ingredients is unusual and thus appealing, which in my opinion totally applies to Hans im Glück. I like that you are able to choose between different kinds of buns or just leave them out, as well as the possibility to pick from a range of sides in order to complete your menu. Service was nice and the wooden decoration creates a very comfy scenery.

Yummy burgers, great deal

UPDATED REVIEW 31 DEC 2020: It seems like they changed the recipes for the vegan burgers because they no longer serve Beyond Meat burgers (very disappointing) and the patties they have were not hearty or full of flavour. We came here to eat burgers for the last time before going WFPB, and were really disappointed in the quality of them. Maybe they were having a bad day, I don't know, but we won't be coming back unfortunately.

Original review from Feb 2020:
They have a great deal where you pay for a burger $5 and you get a burger, a side, a cold drink then a hot drink after the meal! The serving sizes are big, so be prepared to walk out of the restaurant very full. We sat outside and preferred that, to be honest, because it was open air, the wind was blowing and the temperature was just right. The food came out so quickly, literally within ten minutes of ordering - amazing for a Saturday night at primetime dinner time (19:30)! We also ordered the beer battered onion rings which we were told were vegan, and all of the sauces on the table are vegan (and they are so yummy, highly recommend tasting them all). I'd definitely come here again. My husband got a bit too excited and ordered an add-on of an extra vegan patty ( $4) to his burger which was far too much food. We couldn't finish the sweet potato fries or the extra patty in the burger, so come here with an appetite!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Fast service, Homemade vegan sauces

Cons: Server didn't split the bill when we asked him and, Just charged our friend's card for the total bill,, So just be sure to specify if you want to split it

Best vegan burger ever tried!

Best vegan burger i've ever had! The ambiance is amazing, staff is very helpful. They have plenty options for vegan and vegeterians. They serve three different patties for vegan which are wheat, spicy and plant based. Spicy and plant based are mushy, wheat ones are more crunchy. You can also choose the bread. I picked the multi-grain which was very nice. They have alcholic and non-alcoholic set menus. You can have a burger, side dish, beer and hot drinks only for $25. I'll definitely come back to try other options.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , They have delicious vegan sauces. , Sweet potato fries is a must try.

Cons: It's so crowded, noisy and very cold inside., It's a bit expensive.

Vegan burgers

I’ve been here twice in a month because i was just THAT impressed with the vegan burgers here!! I’ve tried the Juglans and Angerling burger and was blown away by it. Absolutely loved how good it tasted (doesn’t taste vegan, but in a good way), also their sweet potato fries were perfect too. Highly recommend for u to try the Angerling burger if you’re into mushrooms!!

Pros: Vegan mayonnaise provided at every table

Best restaurant ever

I lived in Germany for 15 years and this was my favorite restaurant. I was so shocked and surprised and happy to find it in Singapore. It’s the exact same menu, a little bit smaller restaurant, but the same wonderfully delicious food. I hope it’s highly successful and they open restaurants in other countries, too.

Pros: Absolutely delicious vegan burgers , Delicious sweet potato fries, Beautiful ambiance of beech trees

Cons: Not fully vegan , Sort of expensive burgers, but they are worth it

Great vegan burgers

Great vegan options for burgers, that are tasty and different from the bean based burgers that are often served in restaurants. Great vegan condiments, the mayonnaise is delicious. Value meal deals for lunch. Great setting among the trees 🌳☺️

Pros: Good vegan options , Detailed ingredients menu available , Vegan condiments

Tasty Vegan Burgers

My husband is not a vegan but really loved the spicy veggie burger. I had a milder veggie burger with the whole wheat bun and a side salad which was an excellent meal. My only complaint is not a great selection of wine

Pros: 4 different veggie burger options, 2 different options for buns , Attractive setting with birch trees

Cons: Limited wine options, loud construction right in front, fairly expensive

high quality gourmet burgers

Yes, this is a very very pricey place. But it is undeniable that their burgers are of pretty amazing quality, and the sourdough is surprisingly good! Not too sour or hard (which would have been a little strange for a burger), but the firmer texture along with a slightly bigger size meant that it is filling even for those with bigger appetites. I also love how there are allergen cards available for those who have multiple allergies, with clear indications of presence of dairy, eggs, onion, garlic, nuts, gluten etc. The dining environment is yet another highlight, with great friendly service, good view and a nice, and a windy outdoor environment to appease those like me who typically despise outdoor seats.

Pros: great environment, great service, decent burgers

Cons: pricey, no non-dairy options for coffee

Great variety, tasty mock meat

I’ve been a few times and enjoyed a few of the vegan burgers. KUTSCHER and FABELHAFTER are my favorites. Loved the vegan mayonnaise. Also all of the hamburger buns are vegan so that was helpful. The FABELHAFTER taste a lot like meat. I found myself checking to be sure. The mock tails are also tasty

Pros: very attentive staff

Amazing Vegan burgers!

They are not a fully veggie restaurant and do serve meat. Contain allium vegetables.

I had a meal with vegan friends at this restaurant near the Thai Embassy, and we ordered all 4 of the vegan burgers Hans Im Glück offers on the menu.

They’re not a fully veggie restaurants but the veggie selections offered on the menu are really really good!

The burgers we tried were:

JUGLANS
Wheat Patty with Cranberries, Sprouts & Walnuts. The cranberries made the burger sweet and the walnuts adds crunchiness to it. Sort of like, having lingonberry sauce with meatballs kinda experience.

KUTSCHER
Spicy patty with grilled vegetable tartare & rocket leaves. The combination of vegetable tartare (mashed up veggies) and seasoning made it taste so much like pizzas - definitely my favourite burger from Hans

ANGERLING
Wheat patty with mushrooms & 3-Pepper sauce. My second favourite burger - the combination of sautéed mushrooms, the wheat patty and cheesy 3-pepper sauce reminded me non-vege meaty mushroom burgers I had when I was omni. Sounds crazy, eh? The patties have the texture and taste of real beef, minus the bloody flavour of actual meat.

FABELHAFTER
Wheat patty with avocado cream, orange-mustard sauce & herby garden salad - rank 3rd on my favourites from this restaurant. Soft avocado cream mixed in with veggies and orange-mustard sauce, that burst of flavours when you sink your teeth in on the very first bite.

I have friends who told me that the orange-mustard sauce has an acquired taste, like how some people enjoy marmite while some do not (not that I’m saying the sauce taste like marmite). The sauces are also provided on the table.

I am madly in love with the BBQ sauce!!

For the bun, you can choose between sourdough bun, multigrain bun or naked.

In my opinion, sourdough > multigrain bun. The sourdough bun isn’t tough or hard to chew like what I would expect of sourdough breads, the ones they used were soft and easy to slice through!

They’ll open two more restaurants in Raffles Place and Boat Quay

Pros: Juicy and yummy burgers, walking distance from the MRT

Cons: they don’t have non-dairy milks for coffees and te
