A safe bet wherever you are - Edit
Hans im Glück is a good place to go to with mixed company (vegan, vegetarians, meat-eaters) and found in a lot of cities, so it's a safe bet when you don't want to search for a place.
Read moreThis particular one at the Hauptbahnhof had a nice outdoor setting that made it feel like you weren't at a train station. Unfortunately in Germany it's still allowed to smoke outside and I'm not fond of cigarette smoke when I'm eating, thank you very much.
The service was quick and very good. The waiter was even able to swap the garlic sauce that usually comes with the Abenteuerlust burger for a different sauce (the avocado one), which I've found is something some waiters do and some don't, regardless of location.
This is my standard burger to get at Hans im Glück, alongside sweet potato fries, and both never disappoint.
My drink did disappoint me a bit, though. I ordered the ginger and mango lemonade but apparently no-one had told the employees that ginger needs to be cut in very thin slices to be able to get some flavor from it. Moreover, pieces of mango kept blocking the end of my straw. My partner's drink with blueberries in it was no better.
Also, I don't know if Hans im Glück is cursed or something, but in every location I've been the toilets are horrible and not up to standard. Guys, it's really not that difficult. Fix broken light bulbs, locks, and clean up the toilet paper on the floor.
Pros: great service, reliable food
Cons: outdoor smoking, toilets not very clean

50/50 - Edit
I ordered vegan nuggets with avocado sauce. The avocados were badly mashed, they were normal when heated. I also ordered dessert, it was delicious, but cloyingly sweet.

Veganfriendly! - Edit
I was looking for a quick, vegan & not too unhealthy lunch, so I decided to visit Hans im Glück. The bowl & nuggets were served very quickly and were delicious. The service was super friendly.

Inside of central train station - Edit
Straight in the middle of Berlin central train station. Friendly staff. Few garlic-free options. Huge space. Fries, large servings of lemonade, four vegan burger types. No animal rights environment or anything, more a family restaurant. Salad is expensive.

Leckeres, schnelles Essen - Edit
Hat alles sehr lecker geschmeckt und wurde auch sehr schnell gemacht, da ich einen Zug bekommen musste und man hatte genug Zeit zum Essen. War wieder mal sehr lecker und die Soßen dazu sind einfach die besten.

Burgers and fries with cocktails - Edit
Not healthy but filling and nice to have a choice of burgers. Decor is a bit strange, tables on different levels to squeeze more people in. Considering it's in a train station I'm glad we didn't have luggage with us

Overpriced, slow, not too tasty - Edit
I thought Hans im Glück was a bit pricy but quite okay some four years ago. By now I only go there if I have to accompany some friends from out of town.
Read moreService is often slow, which is really unfortunate at a train station, where you often wanna grab a quick bite before departure. Once we even gave up after waiting ages and not even receiving the menu yet. They seem always understaffed, not only at rush hour.
Also the food is underwhelming but overpriced. When it’s after 5pm and you can’t get the lunch menu any more, it’s 9,50€ for the burger alone. Fries, side salad, dessert, lemonade all costs extra and at least 4,50€ each. So you gotta pay some 20€ for a burger with fries and a beverage per person? In a burger joint?
Quality-wise: Well, I know it‘s fast-food but a bit less sugar and fat and more spices would be an improvement.

Cons: Became really expensive, no value for money., Very slow service most of the time., Toilets rather yucky.

Great vegan burgers and vegan sauces - Edit
At the entrance of the restaurant you need to desinfect your hands. You wait to get seated, the restaurant is super big so you get a lot of room around your table, which given the current COVID situation is a plus. We order a vegan burger with mushrooms and a vegan burger with avocado cream and orange-mustard sauce. Both super well served, lots of flavor! You can order as "menu", then you get the burger fries 1 cold drink 1 hot drink. The only problem we had was that the hot beverages were not vegan, but it said you can make them all vegan when ordering. We wanted vegan lattes, they told us this was not possible because the coffee machine works only with dairy.. So that disappointed us.

Delicious vegan burgers - Edit
Hans im Glück is a nice place to eat out with friends. They have decent vegan options (4 burgers) and some more vegetarian ones. The prices are okay and it is surprisingly the only place as far as I know to get something warm and vegan around the main train station in Berlin.
