Heerlijke drankjes en de toetjes zou ik ook zeker niet overslaan.

Grannie's Secret dessert is NOT vegan - Edit
This was one of my favorite places, but last night I got regular whipped cream while I asked whether the dessert could be made vegan or not. I'm lactose intolerant so dairy is a problem for me. So if you want to eat vegan at this place, stick to the menu! The burgers are very nice though.

We knew this chain from our time in Germany and thought it was fun and nostalgic to visit the Dutch restaurant. It's not much different.

I asked for the Jalapeno Nomad burger without the jalapenos and the server replied that the falafel burger was spicy as well. I debated for a bit but decided to try it - it turned out the burger was not spicy at all. Jalapenos were substituted with the mustard-cucumberrelish, which was very nice. On a sourdough bun, it was quite a nice burger!
However, the sweet potato fries were very salty. So salty that I had to wipe off some salt before eating them. I told this to the server who asked how our meal was and she said she would let the kitchen know. That is good service.
I don't come across churros often so it was nice to have them as dessert. Not sure if they're worth a repeat, though.
Partner ordered the brownie with vegan ice cream but we both think that it was served with dairy ice cream and whipped cream. Not a problem for my partner, who isn't a vegan, but worth mentioning for all the vegans out there.
Got a delicious mango-ginger cold drink as well.
The seating at the bar was not ideal, as you're sitting too close to the person behind you (at a different table) and have to take care to not bump each other's heads. The seating also moves when the other person moves.
To conclude: Good for once but for the same amount of money I'd rather go to a restaurant I'll enjoy more.

I went to a German branch 10 years ago, so I was excited to go to the Amsterdam branch. It did not disappoint!
Read moreThe burgers were tasty, you get to choose your own bun and the churros were amazing. I love that they have so many vegan dishes by default, e.g. the sauces (on the table) and the side dishes. Even their drinks have vegan markings.

Went here twice in one weekend. Totally forgot to take photos of the food (just looked too good). The loaded fries are amazing, the burgers are great, and the BBQ cauli wings are a must try. The staff is super friendly and take the time to chat. Even remembered us from the day before. Fantastic restaurant!

Perfect place if you want a burger - Edit
We visited this chain restaurant several times in Germany but now also in Amsterdam. There is a whole section of vegan burgers and most of the sauces are also vegan. Friendly staff and quick service. The taste of the burger was good and the fries were crunchy.

Satisfying vegan burgers - Edit
There's a whole page of vegan burgers, plus (clearly labelled) vegan sides etc. We both had the Queen of Peas (pea-protein patty) with extras like vegan cheese, mushrooms, jalapeños, and they were very decent.
Read moreThe only loaded fries that are vegan are the truffle ones, which were okay (if you like truffle) but a bit dry. The normal fries are pretty good.
The staff was very friendly and brought fries early to our table and others, to acknowledge that our food was taking longer than it should to arrive. (Some problem in the kitchen that evening, apparently.)
