Amazing vegan activism - Edit
This place is amazing. I went through the car wash and it had amusement park decor and vegan facts. You can tune in the radio at 90.1 fm for more vegan facts. Got a breakfast sandwich, a cookie and jerky. I would come here all the time if I lived nearby.

Vegan gas station 🚗🚗 - Edit
They keep adding more decor to draw attention and give it a roadside appeal. I think that’s pretty cool and they donate money from gas station and car washes to charity. Throughout the shop is vegan activism messages which is super cool it makes veganism accessible

I loved this place. Loads of different kinds of snacks. Plenty of brands I know and love with flavors and variety I’ve not seen before. The only issue was they didn’t seem to have a basket and I wanted more than I could hold lol

Amazing experience - Edit
I found this place by accident while browsing vegan spots in SF on HappyCow, and wow, it’s incredible! A gas station with a store and a food truck where you don’t have to stress about reading ingredient lists. And they have ice cream! Amazing.

Get Your Vegan Travel Stash Here!! - Edit
This place made my day. The whole idea of going into a store connected to a gas station and not wondering if I’ll be able to identify even if one thing is vegan let alone the whole store…. I am blown away. Loaded up with all kinds of stuff and on our way.

Plant Based Gas Station - Edit
Well, they claim this is the only vegan convenience store / gas station in North America, and I believe them! It’s such a non-sequitur that I don’t know why anyone else would do it. BUT I’M GLAD HANGRY PLANET EXISTS! As consumers, we vote with our dollars and if I am going to spend any money on gasoline I’d like to give it to people who use the locale to advocate against animal cruelty!
Read moreI did have a weird experience the first time I came here (over a year ago) and tried to use the car wash. The car was did not work at all and they had to send my car through multiple times while resetting it. It eventually sort of worked. They also had a promotion on their website stating that if you bought any car wash you’d get a free dairy-free ice cream but the employee insisted that only applied to the premium car was although the website clearly stated otherwise. I eventually talked them into giving me the ice cream.
Later experiences I’ve had are just for a fill-up and quick snack which have all been positive and hassle-free!
Pros: Signage educating about animal cruelty , Hot vegan snacks as well as non-perishable food, Affordable gasoline
Cons: Carbon impact of the petroleum industry, Sells tobacco products , Prices of food items are “convenience store” costs

100% Vegan convenience store! - Edit
I love the pictures, info about the animals, of course being 100% vegan basically 711 is awesome! Prices are okay. Had a brownie and that was so good went back and got more. The employees were rude one in particular was an older man maybe 30s or 40s. Each time I came in I can tell he hates his job, I asked how he’s doing just stares at me and rings me up and says nothing. My spouse had similar experiences on separate occasions. I don’t feel welcomed and it’s a bummer because it’s all vegan.

Great concept - Edit
I wanted so badly to be over the moon happy with this place but, I left with a slightly different impression. Maybe it's a work in progress. Just because it's vegan doesn't mean it's good for you (or the planet).
Read moreThe concept is great, in my head I thought it was going to be a magical gas station convenience store that was unlike any I've seen before. In some sense well, it is but, the similarities to a standard gas station store were very evident. You will find many of the standard unhealthy stack food items like Doritos or Monster drinks here but, then slightly more healthy options are mixed among them. They did have some nice vegan scones available but the soft serve was down when we visited.
Vegan Mob food truck outside was tasty yes (and messy), but it's very far from "health food" and I found it quite expensive. we got a burger and a poor boy and with tip it was $45~
Would I get gas here, absolutely yes, what a great way to send some profit towards someone who clearly cares about animals. Would I stop here to pick up some snacks on my way out of town for a road trip, sure would if it was closer to me. Is this the place I'll bring a visiting friend for a quick lunch or dinner, no it's not but. I don't think that's what they are going for.
Pros: great idea and offers some healthy snacks

Incredible vegan treasure in the Bay Area! - Edit
This store is open 24 hours and it’s just more than a vegan gas station. This place provides car wash, animal rights messaging, and quirky figures to look at (like a giant dinosaur figurine eating Vladimir Putin. Not sure what’s the story with that.) The manager, Joss, is really passionate about what he does and creating a plant-based space for not only for vegans but everyone to enjoy! Get out here and support your vegan business: get your gas here, car wash, buy a bunch of plant-based snacks/hot food! There’s also a Vegan Mob food truck so you can stop by here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

If 7-11 was all vegan, this would be it. Whether you have the munchies or you need to pick up a quick frozen meal, this is the place! From ice cream to candy bars, frozen pizza to frozen meals, they have got it all. Gas and a car wash too!

Love! - Edit
I love everything about this place! The art on the outside is so neat. I love all of the messages. The inside is so cool, everything is vegan. We bought bagged snacks, and baked goods, such as scones, cupcakes, and the donuts!!!! The donuts alone are worth making a stop. Every time I've come in there has been something different to try (AND IT IS ALL YUMMY). If you are in the area please stop by and give them business.

Best gas station EVER!!! - Edit
Cannot get over how amazing this place is. High recommend the breakfast sandwiches and donuts, but everything they have is worth trying! They have so many items I have never seen or only seen online and so fun to have a place with truly endless options. Staff is nice if you are, so grain of salt on other peoples takes there…they’ve always been friendly and helpful in my experience😄

Pretty cool for a gas station - Edit
I was generally surprised by the options. I went late at night but I expected more options from the pastries but that might of just been the timing. The pastries I did get were really good and I got some candy that I have never seen before in the US. I’m excited to try it.

No pricetags and unhelpful staff - Edit

I love the idea of a convenience store where vegan customers don't need to check every label for hidden animal-sourced additives. But I found it very frustrating that this store does not have price tags on many (if not an overwhelming majority) of their products.
That's already annyoing enough as-is, but when I present a couple items to the cashier to ask "Do you know how much these cost?" I expected a bit more than a "No." A bit of initiative, such as using scanning the product with the device sitting six inches from their right hand, would have been appreciated.
On principle alone, I can't justify going back to or recommending a store where I can't tell a $2 product from a $8 one. And, going by their gas prices being substantially higher than those of nearby competitors, I have to assume the markup is quite large.

Amazing concept, great selection, questionable execution - Edit
I looooove the idea of this place. 10% of the profits go to animal charities and everything is vegan! They have a very nice selection of convenience items and food. However, they do not have the prices labeled on anything, and everything was way more expensive when I checked out than I had imagined. I got a cupcake which was tiny, hard and stale and was charged $8…. Ridiculous! I’m glad I saw the place but can’t imagine myself coming back here any time soon besides maybe to grab an item or 2 and ask them to scan it for price first!!

Everything I hoped for - Edit
It sucks to walk into a gas station and want a snack but you have to check the label on everything and 90% of the stuff you can’t eat. This is not the case here you can safely walk in and get all the munchies you want. It is good to know that this can be done and I hope it spreads and if anyone from hangry planet reads this, if you need an investor please contact me.

So glad this exists - Edit
It's exciting to see something as simple as a gas station turned vegan. When you come here, it feels like you've stepped into a vegan world. There are end factory farming signs and information about the dairy industry on the gas pumps. Written large on the building is "All animals deserve to be free and happy" and "no animals terrorized." You can tell that they didn't just decide to cash in on veganism like so many other plant based businesses who are afraid to put any animal related referencing. 10% of proceeds go to various charities (you can find the list on their website).
Read moreHangry Planet is a decent size with plenty of snacks and toiletries to choose from. Not only do they bring in various vegan brands, but they bring in a wide range of flavors and options within the brands. There's even a Bitcoin ATM, Icee machine, and "Immersive" car wash experience if you need any of that. The immersive experience seemed to be broken when I tried it, but I'm curious to try again sometime.
