Good vegan pizza and recycling - Edit
Maybe 6 vegan pizza offerings. We got eggplant and it was good. Also plenty of recycling/no plastic used.

Amazing pizza! - Edit
The pizza here was one of the best I've tried and was a really good size so very filling. There's some vegan desserts too which sounded great but we were too full to try these. There's quite a few vegan pizzas to choose from and the restaurant also raises money for a couple of different wildlife charities so really vegan friendly all round. Highly recommend!! 😊

Dog and ape friendly! - Edit
Trapped a takeaway pizza from here in our way from Holyhead to London. The service was quick, friendly and the pizza was delicious. We also managed to get some Welsh cakes from the alpine cafe. The perfect lunch! This cafe raises awareness about the plight of the apes and doesn’t use palm oil. Although they are not a 100% vegan place. Maybe they’ll get there one day but for now and unexpectedly good find in Wales!

Best vegan pizza - Edit
One of the best vegan pizzas I've had since going vegan. I had the vegan n'duja and maple bacon. I'm not normally a fan of fake bacon but this was very tasty (and also made locally apparently). My wife had the grilled aubergine, sun-dried tomato and rocket one and that was equally delicious. The pizza bases are amazing. Could just eat it without the toppings tbh. Would be nice to have a few sides (fries/onion rings/slaw etc) so we could just share a pizza in future but then again I'd probably still opt to having a whole one to myself. 😉 The vibe is also pretty cool here. There's a communal piano in the corner and they have the orangutan appeal too.

Best vegan pizza - Edit
Lovely place and great ethics - palm oil free.
Read moreI had the tomato, vegan mozzarella and basil one, and my partner had the one with chillies, onion and pizzarami vegan sausage (locally made vegan sausage).
We got the garlic pizza bread to share (vegan cheese can be added to this). It was honestly one of the best pizzas we've ever had and the vegan cheese was perfection. They also had some vegan desserts and dairy free milk for coffee.
A portion of profits go to ape charities and was great to see they had Karma Cola rather than coke.
Really dog friendly - they even had dog jumpers to borrow if you were sat outside.

Great Atmosphere, Caters Well For Vegans! - Edit
The Hangin' Pizzeria is a pizzarea in the popular tourist village of Betws-y-Coed. Indoor and outdoor dining is offered in addition to takeaway orders. I dined here on Saturday and turned up early, and by the opening time at 12 pm, a queue was already forming to eat at this in demand eatery.
Read moreThe decor here is very cool with a bold choice of colours and materials being employed, and the outdoor dining area is large and pleasant to sit in. The tables inside are large, so unless you come in a large group, you will have to dine beside strangers. To order takeaway food, you order at a separate window outside the pizzarea.
The menu has its own vegan section in addition to having vegan sides, salads, specials, and desserts. I had the Orangutan Larger, Side Salad, and the Vegan Special, and my friend had the no. 10 vegan pizza. My pizza consisted of a Tomato Base, Vegan Mozzarella, Vegan Bacon, Chillies and Maple Syrup and my friend's pizza consisted of Tomato Base, Vegan Mozzarella, Pizzarami Vegan Sausage, Chillies and Red Onion. I also took a vegan dessert away, which was the Ginger and Pear Slice Served with Vegan Ice Cream. The staff was quick to take our order and the food was quick to arrive. The pizzas were large and very high quality, and I suspect 'This Isn't Bacon' was used as the bacon on my pizza. The pepperoni on my friends pizza appeared to be soya based, and it looked and tasted great; hands down the best vegan pepperoni I have ever had! The pizza bases were nice, but I've had far better, although that I admit is down to personal preference. My pizza had a bit of a kick to it, but the no.10 was actually quite hot, and extra water was required!
The endless stream of positive reviews on Hangin' Pizzaria should be enough to encourage vegans to eat here. You're in safe hands, and the food is prepared to a high quality. It also has a really relaxed atmosphere that I enjoyed being in. I'd definitely visit again to try as I hope to try their Hummus and Pitta Sharer (for me alone, of course)!
Pros: Vegan Options Clearly Labelled , Good Food, Welsh Language Service, Reasonable Prices, Nice Staff, Nice Vibe

The vegan pizza with olives, sundried tomatoes, pepper and rocket was delicious. If you love garlic, I would also recommend trying the garlic bread with vegan cheese. Portion sizes were decent and the interior of the restaurant was nice.

AMAZING - Edit
Would give it 5 stars if it let me - didn’t expect to be able to eat here as someone who’s gluten free and vegan in the middle of wales but WOW. Had the vegan margarita and garlic bread with mozzarella on gluten free bases and a marinara dip. Staff lovely, parking opposite £1 for an hour, chilli oil, balsamic, olive oil etc available too. Shared between two people, the perfect lunch mid road trip.

I can’t put into words how amazing this place is. All year round they have got you. Take out sit in, sit out.
Read moreI came on Wednesday ate number 9 vegan pizza added a few more topping just because and I always purposely over ordered on other things to make sure I have goodies to take away (strategic ordering)
They always have incredible specials on cocktails. Which is always a benefit for me. This time I had the hot chai spiced rum yummy! 10/10 every time.
My friends ate from the standard pizzas and was blown away. We all shared the garlic bread and the non vegans said the cheese alternative was really nice.
Also 2 pizzas £22 which was tremendous and even more value for money!
Great staff and overall an amazing visit.

Impressive vegan pizza! - Edit
After a long walk, we stopped here to get dinner. The pizza is really good, especially the vegan mozzarella they use on it. They are quite large pizzas and could be shared if you aren't super hungry.
Read moreThere is one vegan dessert on the menu (chocolate brownie with ice cream) but I really wished the cannoli were vegan as they had some really interesting flavors on offer. It was very busy when we arrived but we were seated pretty quickly. Do try the Welsh apple cider too. I don't normally drink cider, but this was one of the best I've tasted!
