Good if you’re desperate.

This isn’t my first choice for food and I certainly don’t go out of my way to come here. If I’m in the area, it’s convenient that I can get something vegan fairly quickly. I’ve had multiple experiences where the staff was either rude or didn’t acknowledge me at all. Some of the dishes come out really sloppy, and not in a good way. I’d rather just make it at home, or go somewhere else. I’d honestly be open to giving it another try if the staff was more friendly.

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Customer service is lacking, Location, Menu hit or miss

Good Food

Everything I ordered was good or better. The cheesy fries and bbq burger were the best. The tickles, chick fil ain’t, and buffalo chikn sandwich were good but not spectacular.

Pros: All vegan , Nice atmosphere

Cons: Okay service

So good!

Got take out yesterday. So good! No one would know the bbq burger I had was vegan. It definitely hit that cold day wanting something comforting craving. #Veganuary

Delicious!

I got the chicken Sammy deluxe, which was AMAZING! It had an amazing texture and a wonderfully crispy outside! Not the healthiest, but oh man so good. The only think I wish they had were a fries or something on the side, but honestly the sandwich was so good I didn’t really miss them.

Tickles 🔥

In town for work, I brought a few non-vegan coworkers and they really enjoyed it! I had the funky town burger, which was really good. The star (to me) was the tickles. Tots with a sriracha mayo and chopped pickles. This was my coworkers first experience with plant-based meats, and I think they were really impressed!

Yumville, USA

We had the pogirl sandwich, chick-fil-ain’t, crispy chikn, and Buffalo chkn sandwiches. They also made chkn nugget meals for the kiddos that came w/ fries. Everything was delicious!

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Pricey, but worth it

It’s okay

Staff was very rude, gave dirty looks, no response when I said “thank you have a great day” just a glare. Food was good but you don’t get much for the price.

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Expensive. $14 for a burger no side , Rude staff

Go out of your way…

We made a stop here before heading to our hotel in Richmond. We ordered online as they are still only available for takeout. (May 2021)

We ordered the tickles, BBQ burger, Chik-Fila-ain’t and a magic bar.

Tickles were delicious, just try them!

The BBQ burger was delicious, the burger had a great Smokey flavor with the sauce and texture with the slaw and onion crisps.

Chik-Fila-ain’t was probably one of the best vegan chicken sandwiches I’ve had. It is very simple but it’s done right!!

If you’re in the Richmond area, this is a must stop.

Delicious!

We had a fishless po'girl and a chik n sandwich and an order of tots. We were able to eat outside at one of the sidewalk tables, on a beautiful day. This food is fresh and tasty for vegans or non vegan friends. We have been vegan for over 30 years, and are happy to have Hang Space in our area. Only suggestion is to bring back soup, and add a salad for us soup and salad lovers.

Pros: Fresh food, well prepared., Lots of parking, easy to get to. , Vegan desserts too!

Hit the spot

So glad I downloaded the happycow app. I had no clue how many vegan and vegetarian options were nearby. Visited Hang Space for the first time and tried the chick-fil-aint based on the reviews. It was pretty yummy and I was not disappointed. Look forward to visiting again and trying out other menu items

Pros: Location

Cons: Sandwich was a tad expensive

Yummy!

So happy to find this all vegan restaurant while traveling through VA. Everything we had was delicious and the portions are huge. We had the Thai fries, Tickles, Deluxe Chick’n sandwich, Plain Beyond Burger, Chick Fil-Ain’t, Buffalo Chick’ n sandwich, plain fries and tots, and BBQ burger. The portions of fries are definitely enough for two to share. Due to Covid restrictions, we couldn’t dine inside but we called our order in, texted when we arrived and a friendly staff member brought the food out and set on a table for pick up. Glad we found this gem!

Pros: Delicious food! , Everything vegan and yummy

Great food

Was in the area visiting and decided to google what was vegan in the area. Drove up and a nice lady met us outside and was really welcoming and took our order . We both tried the chkn sandwiches with fries. It was really good and tasteful, fries were plentiful which I had enough for dinner also. Just hate because of Covid 19 we weren’t able to go in and experience the full ambiance of the restaurant.

Pros: Good food , Tasteful , Priced accordingly

Cons: Nothing within their control

Good stuff!

The Chick-Fil-Ain’t was so good! My husband loved the barbecue chicken sandwich. One order of tots is more than plenty for two people.

You have to try the Chik-Fil-Aint!

We were so excited to finally try Hang Space and we were certainly not disappointed at all. We got the Chik-Fil-Aint and it was seriously INCREDIBLE. The Buffalo Chik'n Sandwich was also delicious but be warned - it is EXTREMELY messy. Both chick'n patties were perfectly crispy on the outside but moist on the inside and both sandwiches were quite large and filling. The price is very reasonable. The Not So Pad Thai Fries were good and you get a lot with the order. We did take out since they're still take-out only but honestly would probably stick to takeout in the future since the location doesn't seem to be anything to rave about. The food was 10/10!

Pros: Good value, Excellent chik'n sandwiches

Cons: Location (a bit outside the city), Uninteresting interior and exterior

Filling and comforting

Had the chicken sandwich and the tickles. I loved them but I will say: this is a pickle lovers' dish! The balance between the tots and the cheese was pretty good as well.

Pros: Fast service, Filling, Comforting

Cons: Sandwichs fall apart quite easily

Good grub, huge servings.

Went with Omni SO and her grandma, and feasted. Got the chick-fil-ain’t with tickles. Have never had actual chick-fil-a, so not sure of comparison, but it was good. Buttered bun started yum but got soggy. 89 year old grandma loved BBQ chicken sandwich. Tickles, meh, and huge. SO buffalo sandwich breading was thick but tasty. Fries spot on. Cookie dough bar with ganache was awesome. Would go back!

Great place to take meat eater friends

Very good vegan “cheat day” foods. Lots of fried mock chicken and beef sandwiches, crispy fries and gooey plant cheeses and sauces. Not a vegetable, grain or fruit centric dish to be found. Very friendly staff and nice dining room.

Pros: Good parking, Friendly staff, Nice dining area

Cons: No vegetables , No grains, Basically fast food veganized

First stop on the trip.

Came up to Richmond for the weekend this was my first stop! The chicken sandwich was very good and came out quick. I loved the vibe and the restaurant seemed busy, but the service was quick and friendly!! If I’ve got more time this weekend I’ll come back for dessert! The cake brownyand oatmeal cream pies looked very good.
