Clear veggie options - Edit
I wouldn't have found this place without this app (so thank you!) as it's very hidden away among the other places in the market. They have a clear veggie section in their menu. I had the okonomiyaki which was delicious. Great to try some authentic Osaka food without meat!

This was a bit tucked away in the hectic Kuromon market, but definitely worth finding.
Read moreThe ojisan running it was very friendly (but a basic level of JP is probably needed!) and accommodating for my party of 6 (3 meat eaters 3 veggies). It's cash only so be aware.
The food was awesome. Osakan junk food made veggie friendly, with lots of savoury sauce and crispy/chewy textures. Beer recommended with this. Costs between ¥1000-2000.
Pros: Cheap, Yummy, Cozy
Cons: Cramped, Intimidating to ENG-only(?)

Extremely easy to read the menu for vegetarian options. I wasn’t sure if I’d get to try Okonomiyaki while in Japan, but I’m so happy to have found this place! The food was excellent.

I LOVE THE OKONAMAYAKI - Edit
A vegetarian dream amongst legs of crabs and other creatures of the deep. The owners are a sweet old couple and they have a vegetarian menu in the back of the regular menu. You can add cheese, noodle, mochi (?), and potato to yakisoba and okonamayaki. Also, you can add noodles to the okonamayaki which has changed my life. 10/10 I am obsessed with the ojiisan in the fedora who made us this meal.
