Good hamburger - Edit
They did not have the beans and tofu hamburger available so I had the tempeh hamburger with sweet potatoes.
The potatoes were well cooked and they tasted good to me.
The hamburger was also good but more expensive than the others.
All cost between 6 and 8 euros.
The service was fast and the staff nice.
I would repeat
Pros: 5 different veggie options to choose, Well located
Cons: Didn't have one of the offered hamburgers

vegan friendly burger bar - Edit
5 veggie options - all can be made vegan (according to our server)
We had seitan and tempeh burgers - both were great with lots of interesting toppings. Sweet potato fries weren't amazing (could have done with another few mins in the fryer) but were decent.
Friendly staff too - would definitely recommend for anyone a bit over eating fries and sides in Madeira - just remember to say 'no mayo' with everything or it'll come with a blob on the side!

only place we visited twice - Edit
Bring cash. :) The smoked tofu burger is really good. The sietan burger had great toppings, but the burger itself wasn't great. The fries are great (sweet potato and regular), though remember to ask for no mayo. This is only the place we visited twice to eat during our week stay. The food was well priced and there were multiple options. The sangria was also very nice.

Average burger in a dry bun - Edit
We had two seitan burgers - one with sweet potato chips and one with French fries.
Apart from the seitan burger, the bun was filled with a slice of tomato and one of pineapple.
Although I love fusion cuisine, this combo didn't work for me. Plus the bun was stone cold (like out-of-the-fridge-cold), crumbly and dry. The sweet potato chips were nice, but ask 'without the mayo' if you're a vegan.
It's a good value for money- with a jug of sangria, we paid just under €25.
Overall, it wasn't a bad meal but it wasn't great either. That said, in vegan-phobic Madeira this place can be a saviour.
I'm
Pros: four choices of vegan burgers, nice and friendly staff, a 1l jug of sangria for less than €10
Cons: tasteless, cold and dry buns, located on the side of a noisy road, uncomfortable exterior seating
