Unfortunately the Halifax Vegetarian Association wants little to do with animal rights and more so to do events of socialization and food. I am all for good times and meeting like-minded individuals but I felt more of an outcast in this group than I do with a group of meat eaters. Sorry, there's nothing happy about animal suffering, too bad a community organization for compassionate eating doesn't realize that.
