Almost no vegan options, no vegan label - Edit
There are several clearly marked vegetarian options. Our server told us that all the bread and buns contain eggs and the pretzel is not vegan, even without the cheese sauce. We were able to get the beyond burger and veggie sandwich with no cheese or bun and the hummus appetizer. Beyond burger was served plain without the tomato and pickle, so I had to ask for that and they brought the veggie sandwich without the caramelized onions. The food was mediocre at best, but there are great views of the ocean.

Willing to customize for vegan kids - Edit
This restaurant has many vegetarian marked items, & we asked to make them vegan & they said no problem! The kids menu had Mac & Cheese & they happily made it Mac & Marinara for my daughter! We also enjoyed the pretzels, hummus, veggie sandwich, vegetable soup in a bread bowl, & fries. This place is ocean front & busy so plan to wait a bit (we arrived today, a Sunday @1pm) & waited 10 minutes. It was a great experience for our vacation!!

Some vegan options - Edit
The have a couple vegan appetizers. Pretzels are vegan without the beer cheese and a hummus plate. Only vegan entree is a beyond burger which was very good. Service was prompt, staff isn't super friendly.

I miss the impossible burger - Edit
I've been here at least 3 times in the last 3 to 5 years and I felt differently about the experience everytime. First they had a vegan beet burger that was okay. We came back a second time with family and they had the Impossible burger. It was so fantastic (first time I had tried one) and I was so excited to go back. I finally got my chance in Feb 2020 and they didn't have it anymore. They had a Beyond burger option but it was bad. I'm guessing they can't get the Impossible brand now that it blew up and they're purchasing the cheapest Beyond option they can. Not sure if I'll go back.

Only hummus is vegan - Edit
Only thing vegan was the hummus! No impossible burger, apparently they "have a hard time obtaining" the pretzel was not vegan. Couldn't veganize anything!

Impossible burger a huge hit - Edit
They have a few things on their menu like hummus with pita, soft pretzels and nachos (the 2 latter can be veganized) but I went for the one automatic vegan option of impossible burger served with lettuce, tomato, pickle and sauteed onions. It come with any fries you choose OR you can ask to substitute with garlic sauteed vegetables. We got the veggies with one and sweet potato garlic fries with the other. Was simply amazing!

Updated menu - Edit
They seem to have added some more vegetarian options recently including broiled artichoke hearts, portobello mushroom sandwich and the vegetarian soup of the day, as well the Impossible Burger with a vegan bun.

Nice vegan options ! - Edit
Restaurant offering several vegan options. Ask for the vegetarian soup of the day (can be vegan but not systematically), hummus is vegan and amazing, vegetables in the “Fun bites” section, tacos, nachos and salads can be made without cheese. They also have a portobello mushroom sandwich (with ciabatta bread) that can be made without cheese, and surprisingly they offer Impossible burger! Be careful with coleslaw: I ordered it as an additional side dish thinking it was plain but it wasn’t an I think there was cream in it.

Not impressed - Edit
Poor quality of options for vegan. The only item listed is the brew house burger which can be made vegan. Placed the order and the waitress came back and said they don’t do a vegan bun anymore.

Been here twice - Edit
We have visited Half Moon Bay twice in the last few years. Both times we have really enjoyed the food and the service.
Read moreIt's right next to the water, and the closest restaurant to the coast that vegans can eat at in HMB.
Their gardein burger is very good, as well is their hummus. In the past we've had a salad or two there. The real reason to stop by is their fantastic beer selection that they make, and great patio.
Pros: Good food, Great beer, Location and patio
Cons: Need more options
