Good 버섯덥밥 & 반찬

They have two veg options - tried the 버섯덥밥 and it's solid! Nothing particularly amazing but a good hearty veg option in the area after a trip to 우도/성산일출봉

Good meal

There’s only one vegan meal option and it comes with an array of sides and soup. Nothing mind blowing but hit the spot perfectly after a long day involving a lot of walking.

Closed without notice- call ahead

I usually don’t want to give bad reviews and this is only considering the service

Coming all the way from Seogwipo and combining with the walk to the peak I wanted to have food here. The website and happy cow said it’s open. When I came here there was a sign with a number to call and that currently there is no one. When I called the number I could hear it Ringing inside the restaurant. Eventually I found another number on the website and the owner answered he is at home and it would take him more than one hour to get to the restaurant if he would leave now. Great … it didn’t seem like he wanted to leave anyway. I left hungry and disappointed. Make sure you call ahead (and the right number) not to get disappointed like me…

Nice place

Initially I thought it’s a rather expensive meal but your order comes with an array of sides so it turned out to be a pretty good deal. It was really delicious. But only offers two vegan dishes- that makes it easy to decide what to eat☺️

Nice restaurant

Although there are only 2 vegan options in the menu, I would definitely recommend eating there. Had the mushroom stir fry and it was really good and filling. It came with many banchans. I personally wasn't a fan of the soup, but that's only my personal taste. The atmosphere was nice and the owner spoken very good english.
If you come from Seongsan Ilchulbong, it's only a short walk to the Restaurant, so perfect for having food after visiting this sight.

Lovely meal and nice owners

This restaurant offers two clearly marked vegetarian/vegan options on their menu. Both options are around 10000krw.

I had the mushroom stir fry, which was nice and filling. I also enjoyed the banchan, consisting of soybean sprout soup, a couple of fried mushrooms, mung bean jelly, kimchi and some slaw with sesame oil.

It's a great option if you're in the area.

Edit: I came back the next day to try the fried vegetable dish. It was pretty good but I'd recommend the stir fry as you get lots of side dishes with it.

Good mushroom stir-fry

We visited the place after going to Seongsan Ilchulbong and had a very nice lunch. There are only two options marked as vegetarian. I tried the mushroom stir-fry and it was really good and filling. It comes with side dishes so it becomes more varied that just the mushrooms and rice.
The staff was nice and understand English well.
The coffee was good also.

Good food, good english

Although the vegan options are scarce, they are great and come with many side dishes. The kimchi is vegan friendly, the waiter told me, as he is very fluent in English.
The place is super cozy and the food and prices are awesome.

Good vegan option right next to Seongsan Ilchulbong

I tried the mushroom stir-fry, which came with many tasty banchan. I would definitely recommend having lunch here before or after the visit to Seongsan Ilchulbong.

Great Korean Food!

We were happy to try this great place after a long day of hiking. The atmosphere is really nice with calming background music and open kitchen style. The owner speaks really good English and confirmed that the dishes are vegan. We were surprised that our rice with mushrooms came with several delicious side dishes. Everything was really good! A must-try when you are in the area. We forgot to check the opening hours but we left around 9:30pm and there were still guests entering.

Tasty food and friendly owners

The owner was very friendly and spoke good English and confirmed if I’m vegetarian/vegan. I would recommend going for the mushroom stir fry and maybe getting the deep fried vegetables as more of a side dish to share.

Decent veggie/ vegan food!

Choice of 2 things on the veggie menu - mushroom stir fry and fried veggies.
Appreciated being able to get some easy veggie food as there is limited selection on this part of the island! Would deffo pay it a visit if you’re in Seongsan 😊

Which of the two veggie options do you recommend? :)

If there’s more than one of you, I’d get both to share! Fried veggies are just mixed veg with dipping sauces, mushroom stir fry was nicely seasoned with rice etc so maybe more of a meal if there’s just one of you 😊
