The key is the spicy vegan ramen

I loved the spicy ramen option - it was filling, tasty, and had tons of flavor. The soy bits were a nice surprise too. I’m Indian American (I.e. parents from India) - so Indian spices are super familiar, to give you some context on where I’m coming from. This ramen was up my alley.

The white ramen looked and smelled pretty bland, and I see the other reviews calling that out. My wife got that one and confirms it was ok at best. Bottom line, don’t get that one if you want strong flavor.

Tourist trap

It was by far the worst vegan ramen (and overall worst experience) during my stay in Japan. The vegan ramen (non spicy one) was flavorless, just a regular unseasones soup with some random vegetables, veing at the same time much more expensive than ramen in other places. I bet the positive reviews on google maps are due to the fact the staff comes with QR begging for reviews while you are still eating which I find disturbung. The only reason that we landed there were their opening hours, they close later than other surrounding restaurants.

Okay

There are much better ramen in kyoto like enjin, uzu, ippudo or gomacro.
It lacked flavour and is way to expensive.
Don't waste your time here by waiting. Bc this place is popular for the wagyu halal ramen.
