Best vegan restaurant (for me)! - Edit
We ate here twice during our holiday in Palermo. For me personally, they were the best vegan dishes I have eaten so far. I will definitely come back on our next holiday in Sicily :)

Really good experience. Me and my partner had two different kinds of pasta and a bottle of red wine. Little bit pricey (12€ for pasta) but all in all very yummy.

Tasty food - Edit
We went there two times both times the food was good.
Read moreUnfortunately, the amazing looking mixed appetizers were not available as well as the carbonara.
We had the seitan kebab which was nice, the daily menu had a fancy mushroom on it which was served with just three leaves of salad for 13€ it was overpriced in my opinion.
The pistachio tiramisu was good but served in a plastic to-go cup and had little coffee in it.
Other than that we liked the stay there!

Excellent food, bad service - Edit
Having seen all these amazing comments here I decided to eat at Haiku. My mum was struggling to find her face mask and they would not let her walk 3m to the table without it. Fine, this is a gov requirement and I respect that, however when we were waiting to be served, a posh lady With a Luis Vuitton bag walked in, no mask, staff was absolutely fine With it, same on a way out, she even stopped at the bar/till for a while, no mask was miracolously fine. The waitress put something on our table and left (we thought it was a table number or sth for them), a long while later she came back and asked if we are ready to order, I said No as we haven’t received menus yet, she then brought a printed menu and I found that what she left on a table was a code that you can scan to see the menu and perhaps order via app? But not a single word of explanation and it was in italian. We came much earlier than the posh lady, but left much later, waiting long to order, get dessert, bill etc. No question how we enjoyed the food. I am really upset and shocked, that in a vegan restaurant we will be judged by the cost of the bag, or maybe it was something else they did not like? Like us being foreigners? I ALWAYS leave the tips, but this is the first time I wouldn’t (in Italy it is not optional so I was forced to do that)

Great menu with typical vegan food but also with food from the Sicilian tradition adapted to be vegan. Fresh ingredients, good quality. The waitress suggested a perfect glass of white wine. Location well-finished, cool and relaxed. You can take also your non-vegan friend, he/she will love it!

Simply the best in Palermo - Edit
All vegan, plenty of healthy options like spaghetti alla zucchina which is fresh and light. The tempeh brassato is rich in protein if you are counting macros. My favourite was the vegan sushi served with yummy ginger on the side. I even got the crossata cake to have for breakfast, it was served with a generous helping of fresh peach and cream.

Fully vegan restaurant with some great takes on Italian cuisine. We had the broccoli linguini and red rice risotto, both incredible. Waitstaff was very friendly and spoke English well. Highly recommend.

A genuinely good vegan restaurant! - Edit
This restaurant is really very good, with an amazing range of vegan appetizers and entrees. Most dishes also are gluten-free, and are labeled as such on the menu. We've been to too many vegan restaurants where, although well meaning, all of the dishes are really quite bland to our tastes -- but not at Haiku. Also, not too expensive considering the quality and quantity (dishes are large) of the food. Lovely interior decoration and music, and genuinely kind service that is not pretentious at all! Note that although the restaurant re-opens in the evening at 17:00, they do not actually start serving dinner until 20:00. Before that, it is just drinks and desserts.

Disappointing - Edit
We chose this restaurant as there were lots of great reviews. The starters we got were the sushi and tempura vegetable, the sushi was ok but I quite liked the tempura vegetable. Then we got the quinoa meatballs which were also ok. Then we had a pesto gnocchi and a vegan carbonara for our mains. The pesto sauce was unpleasant and quite gluggy while the gnocchi was dry. The vegan carbonara I thought was not very nice at all, very bland and I couldn’t really understand why it was called a carbonara.
Read moreI am hoping that we were just there on an off night because I love that the owners are thinking outside of the square with the idea for their restaurant. I do wish them all the best and hope that quality of the food improves.
Pros: Lots of options, Friendly waitstaff
Cons: Some very unpleasant meals

Nice concept - Edit
It's a really cute place with honest prices for the quality you get. I think the menus is always changing. I got a risotto which was a bit disappointing because it was more like a stir fry. But it was still tasty. There are many options. The millefolle dessert was huuge and yummy. But again not super traditional.

Very nice customer service, delicious food and quite a nice atmosphere. - Edit
The experience was very pleasant. The customer service was very nice, however the place wasn’t busy at the time. The food was delicious, I had a gnocchi with pesto de pistachio and the pistachio dessert afterwards. It was quite pricey as for the meal for one person, but if you’re in Palermo and looking for some interesting vegan experience the place is highly recommended:)

Delicious, highly recommended - Edit
We arrived there around 8 pm. Until 8.30 pm you can take advantage of a happy hour promotions (10 euros for a glass of wine and a selection of entrees) and we did so. Than we had a delicious pasta, a dish with tempeh and the star of the night: some filled artichokes ... delicious! The pistacho tiramisu is a must. Good wine, nice atmosphere. Highly recommended
