Serves meat, vegan options available. Cute place with lots of common Korean dishes. There is a sign out front that says “Vegetarians Welcome”. Offers vegan japchae, ramen, dumplings, & gimbap. Lots of vegetarian choices such as Korean pancakes & others, some of which could possibly be made vegan, so vegans please inquire. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-9:00pm.

The dumplings were good! The jajamyeon was less my taste - Edit
The order was via QR code, they clearly labeled vegan options. However, maybe it's an other staff than the other reviews but I did not experience the staff as helpful. I was the only vegan and the other two persons also ordered jajamyeon and he did not specify whether it was the non vegan or vegan one. Also whether the side dishes were ok to eat. The taste was kinda bland to me. Also vegan only comes in big size somehow, also double the price ? Like double the size of the normal one.

Hi Sarah,
Read moreThank you for visiting and for taking the time to leave a review. We’d just like to clarify a few points about your visit.
When you came in, you asked if there was a lunch menu before being seated, and we explained that we don’t have a separate lunch menu. After that, your group discussed for a moment and then took a seat.
Your order included two regular jajangmyeons, one vegan jajangmyeon, and one vegan dumpling. When the regular jajangmyeons were served, we clearly said “jajangmyeon.” If it had been the vegan version, we would have said “vegan jajangmyeon.” The two dishes are served on different plates and look distinct, as shown on the menu photos.
There was a Korean person in your group, as well as a foreigner who speaks Korean fluently, so we didn’t think additional explanation about the side dishes was necessary.
We always do our best to provide accurate information and a pleasant experience for all our guests, including vegan customers. We hope this clears up any misunderstanding.

Cheap and tasty mixed place! - Edit
There was a seperate vegetarian part on the menu, which i really liked! Vegan dishes are explicitly stated, a big variety of traditional korean food. Also very very affordable and big portions.

Nice food spot - Edit
The food was great! I got the vegan ramen, the vegan dumplings and the gimbap without egg and fishcake. Everything was tastey and quiet cheap. But I must say, that the ramen and the dumplings were probably store bought.

Buono! - Edit

Wonderful vegetarian options in Hongdae - Edit
Had a few vegetarian options in a cute underground dining area. We had the vegan ramen and dumplings, quality was very good! You can also get the ramen with a slice of cheese if you’re vegetarian! Was foreigner friendly, and was able to communicate with no issues!

Limited but tasty vegan options - Edit
There are a few vegan dishes listed on the menu, but the vegan ramen wasn’t available when I visited so had to settle for vegan dumplings which were fresh and tasty. You can order via a QR code and online menu in Korean and English. Accepts cards, the guy that served me was very friendly. Take away is available too. Note it’s down the stairs, took me a second to figure that out.

This is a nice place to go to if you’re craving for fast Korean food. There’s a lot of options to choose from and the servers are friendly and kind. They have good knowledge about both vegetarian and vegan food.

Veg-friendly food in Hongdae - Edit
Hahoe Village is a good spot in central Hongdae for some basic vegetarian stuff. They have recently labelled their kimchi to show it is not vegetarian. We had the bean paste stew, vegan mandu and leek pancake. Considering how hard vegetarian food is to come by in Korea this place is great! We enjoy all with some beer and soju. The location/vibe is pretty dire but I'm also getting snottier as I age, so maybe it's fine and I'm just an old fuddy duddy. I'd give it 3 ½ stars if I could.

Good food, false advertising. - Edit
They have a vegetarian menu which has some great options. There are several kimchi dishes in the vegetarian section and after ordering we found out that all of the kimchi is made with fish sauce. The server also had attitude when he explained this to us and said that some vegetarians are fine with eating fish…
Read moreI ordered the kimchi stew (which was delicious by the way) and my girlfriend had the Gimbap and vegetarian ramen. - these seemed to be fish sauce free but worth double checking. The portion sizes were good too.
Pros: Food was delicous, Good portion sizes for price
Cons: Kimchi sold as vegetarian is made with fish sauce
