Porridge is comfort food

Warm porridge... for breakfast... for rainy days... for cold days....
It's comfort food. It's what soothes my belly and gives me the feeling of being at home.

If that's what you need while traveling, and you're passing through this busy train station of Berlin - here's where you can get it: Warm, sweet porridge aka. oat meal aka. Hafergrütze. They have interesting and yummy porridge creations with various toppings including chocolate, nuts, fresh berries, German apple sauce and other fruit.

Besides warm porridge, Haferkater offers vegan/veggie-friendly bakery, salads, quinoa bowls and wraps. An English menu is available and vegan items are distinctly marked. Coffee and teas are also available. There's a choice of soy milk, organic milk, lactose-free milk as well as coconut-rice milk (50 cent extra charge) and oat milk (50 cent extra charge).

This store is located right at the end of the train station on ground level, next to the exit towards Friedrichstraße.
