There were items on the menu that were vegan and they were well thought out. Seriously the best gazpacho that I’ve ever had!

Fantastic oceanside opened air restaurant with warm and friendly service, special thanks to our server, Fredie, who made evening experience outstanding. There vegetarian/vegan choices are plentiful, healthy, and delicious.

Great Spot on the Beach - Edit
We really enjoyed the food. The Thai Curry, Caribbean Curry, and tacos we tried were delicious. The staff are very enthusiastic, ask about food allergies and accommodate easily. Great vibe right on the beach, with music Friday and Saturdays.

Must go if in Costa Rica - Edit
We went to Hacienda Blu on the way back to the Liberia airport, and it was really delicious! They have a separate Vegan / Vegetarian / Gluten Free and we got the Vegan Poke, Vegan Chiviche, and the Hibiscus Tacos, and all we’re delicious! Only 20 minutes from the airport, on the beach, and will definitely be a stop on future trips. The staff was super friendly, and the cocktails were amazing! They didn’t have the vegan menu printed out, but our server pulled it up on his phone for us.

They know what they are doing! - Edit
Linked to Liberia Social Club, this place is a welcome recent addition to the beach area of Playa Panama/Hermosa. The menu only shows half a dozen or so vegan/vegetarian options, but the staff are keen to ask the chef to mix and match ingredients so you can build your own - nowhere else locally will do that. The Caribbean curry (evening menu) is worth the visit alone. They also do a great chilero de la casa if that’s your thing.
Read moreIt’s an airy, beautifully designed space and they serve cold Numu beer from the tap...the owner (John) always finds time to say hi and check all good, staff are friendly and all in all.... it’s a top place to visit.
Once they get the service better organised when they are busy (as they can be on weekends when live bands/DJs are on) it’s a 5 star experience.
Pros: Knowledgable owner - knows vegan/vegetarian food, Caribbean Curry is excellent , Super chilled beach bar ambience
