Relaxed little café with 3 tables and plays soothing music that weighs up for the occasional noise of passing trains. The vibe is international, and the staff speak basic English. On the menu is tea, coffee, beer, smoothie, sandwiches, rice bowl, rice ball, müsli, muffins, lunch of the day. Also sells packaged snacks, essential oils, incense and jewelry. The owner is a yoga teacher who hosts yoga classes on the second floor. It's located under the rails, 150 meters to the right when facing the main entrance of Beppu station. Open Mon 11:00am-5:00pm, Wed-Sun 11:00am-5:00pm.

Oishii - Delicious! - Edit
Superb sandwich, I loved it and even my meat eating friend loved it. We had lunch of the day too and smoothies, yummy! Our waitress was friendly and spoke basic English. I'm glad I found this place and I will definitely visit again. Next time I might join for yoga too. Recommended!
