On our way to Taman negara we had in total 3 stops here. The food was amazing, and the banana lassi....wow.

I went there during my time waiting for my bus to KL and had a lovely time. The fresh vegetables with pasta and the pineapple juice hit the spot and I chatted with the owners kid the whole time trying to solve different riddles :). Lovely family and cosy location.

Me & my husband stumbled across this place & we are so happy we did! The decoration is very eclectic & quirky, we absolutely loved it, so different from anything we’ve seen while travelling in Malaysia! The food was delicious, they cater for vegetarian / vegan too which is a huge plus for us as we’re veggies 🤗 this is a beautiful family run business by Abid his wife Zubidah and we even had the pleasure of meeting their son Qasim! You can just tell Abid and Zubidah pour their heart & soul into the business & as a customer I can tell them whole heartedly it really pays off!! They are such a lovely family who make you feel so welcome the moment you step through the door!! Thank you for making our visit to Jerantut extra special ❤️

Cozy and lovely little restaurant - Edit
We came here to have lunch and wait for our bus heading back to KL. The owners family is really lovely and caring. Eventhough there were no vegan meals in the menue, it was no problem at all. We had pasta with fresh vegetables, which were really nice after the stay in the national park. If you are in Jerantut, go there:)

We stumbled upon The Gypsy Garden by chance but were so pleasantly surprised! It was a small place with very eclectic decor but it was really the owners who made us feel very welcome and made sure we had a good time. I asked if they had many vegetarian options and they explained that almost everything on the menu could be made into a vegetarian dish. I had the veggie lasagne and my partner had the mac & cheese. Which were delicious and well made. We had a simple greek salad and some delicious juices too! The owner wanted to make sure we were satisfied with everything and we had many conversations on varying topics. He brought over a fan just for us to make sure we weren't too hot and even made the portion sizes bigger for us as we said we were very hungry cyclists! He was a very friendly man and his wife was lovely too. They really made it a special experience. I'm sure if you are vegan, they would happily make some specialised food for you. We would highly recommend visiting this place if you are in the area!

After spending time in Taman Negara living off poorly cooked rice and veg for two days it was so nice to stumble across this lovely little garden cafe.
Read moreThe menu had vegetarian options but no vegan however when asked they understood fully what vegan was and offered to make us something bespoke, a delicious vegan bolognaise with loads of fresh veggies.
The owners Abid and Zubinah were so friendly and kind, allowing us to stay for hours as we waited for our 2am train. They even let us stay in a private seating area after they closed up and went to bed. We felt like members of the family not just customers!
Great place for any vegans visiting jerantut or waiting for a train!!
