Guu Garden
M101-888 Nelson St, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, V67 2H2
Serves meat, vegan options available. By day a Japanese lunch restaurant, by night a tapas bar. The main menu is offered all day, and vegans could have edamame, cauliflower karaage (ask for no mayo), yamaimo (pickled yam), nasu (pickled eggplant), ga-den salad (avocado, romaine with wasabi dressing but omit prawn and shrimp crackers). At lunch there is a vegetable bento box (say no miso soup and egg tofu). For dinner, there's agedashi tofu, jimamidofu (tofu made of peanuts), salted brussel sprouts, pickled okra, soy milk hot pot (ask for no chicken and meringue). There are also fried vegetable dishes but likely uses same fryer as non-veg food. Open Mon-Fri 11:30am-2:30pm, Mon-Sun 5:30pm-12:00am, Sat-Sun 12:00am-12:30am, Sat-Sun 12:00pm-3:00pm.
