Super nice Ambiente - Edit
The Ambiente was super nice. Sitting between all those plants and a spring. The music was annoying, because it was the same Song the whole time I was sitting there. Staff was very nice.
Read moreThe food was partly good, partly semi. The fried springrolls were like the one your are getting out of the freezer. Not tasty, boring. And definitelytoo expensive for untasty 4 pieces.
The tofu pot was delicious, quite spicy though. The staff said its only a little spicy.
I wanted to order the szechuan tofu, and the staff told me to not get it because it would be super spicy.
So, just believe them when they say it will be too spicy for you.

Beautiful food AND venue - Edit
Together with the Lạt Chay Vegan Bistro this was the best all-vegetarian restaurant I visited during my first 3 weeks in Dalat. Both are equally expensive, have their unique style that weaves through venue and menu, great quality AND variety in dishes, which is rare to find.
Read moreOnly downside at Guru Chay: the service was seriously lacking. Despite us being one of only 2 tables, we had to call explicitly ask for repeatedly for menu (a tablet with beautiful food pictures) and for the waiter to clear our table from the empty plates after we had finished eating for 15+ minutes, as this seemingly never crossed his mind. Beyond that it was great food in a stunning venue.

Each dish was so full of flavor, so delicious!! Loved the braised eggplant and the tofu with mushroom!! It’s a must visit for vegans in Dalat!!

Overpriced and underwhelming - Edit
This place has a nice atmosphere but is incredibly overpriced. Furthermore, the staff was not aware of ingredients and assured that a dish was vegan, however, after enquiring with another staff and checking with the kitchen it turned out it was not.

Nice food, lovely restaurant, expensive - Edit
This is certainly an occasions place. A dish here will set you back the same price as an entire meal in one of the local eateries in town. But it’s good.
Read moreVegan - they understood it, but there was a language barrier with the waiter we had. Think we got there though. Nothing on the menu explicitly states vegan, you kinda have to guess what will be and then say ‘no egg, no butter, no cream’. Which is hard on some of the dishes as they don’t provide descriptions. For example, the ‘guru style
Noodles’ is one of the popular dishes.
Restaurant itself - is beautifully laid out with a gorgeous ambience. It looks expensive, which it is.
The food - was delicious.
We had:
Artichoke soup (and clarified no cream)
Tofu with mushrooms & red pepper - this was yum!
Lotus leaf steamed rice - was listed as a main, at main course prices (150k) but was literally just white rice and mixed frozen veg without any flavour or seasoning added. Wouldn’t recommend
The complimentary ginger & honey tea was also delicious, but not vegan (don’t judge me, I sometimes have honey)
Pros: The restaurant scene , The food was good
Cons: Vegan not called out, Very expensive
