Lovely little place

Only one table to eat in but the food is delicious and really thoughtfully made. They really can't be beaten on price either.

My favourite café

Guilt free pleasures is a small independent café and takeaway, and is my favourite place to eat. I go for brunch there at least once a week most weeks, even when my money is running slightly low! The owner is such a lovely chilled out person, and she puts up with my indecisiveness and rambles!

There are no toilets in the café, but it's near enough to Hucknall highstreet. There's also only one large table and a bench in terms of seating, but this is fine because the atmosphere is super friendly and the table to is large enough for strangers to share it 😅

The smoothies here are so tasty, as is all the food I've tried! Delicious "healthier" cakes and bakes, protein waffles and protein pancakes, as well as savoury meals, and snacks, smoothie bowls, hot drinks, and a few other "breakfasty" menu items. GFP is so unique and is be genuinely sad if it shut down, so I'm hoping it never comes to that!

I 100% recommend GFP!! #Veganuary

Pros: Fully vegan AND gluten-free, Really reasonable prices , High protein pancakes and waffles

Cons: No toilets so plan a bit wisely

Must visit for decent vegan food

We came here for lunch on our way to Gaust Fest at Papplewell Pumping Station. I had the sticky tofu with dip and rice and my husband had a cottage pie in a sweet potato. And then we bought a treat bag containing 6 sweet yummies between us. Utterly yum.

Pros: 2 hour car parking near by, Good vibe, Lovely cafe owner

Cons: No toilet, Limited seating

Lovely little cafe and take away

Although I don’t visit as much as I’d like this is a great little ‘hidden gem’ amongst Hucknall, Lauren is v talented and makes great food. She does smoothie bowls, little chocolate bars, doughnuts, brownies, take away coffees and has just started doing take away savoury food too. Definitely worth a visit and is all gluten free too

Pros: All food is vegan , Friendly staff

A little gem

Scrumptious cakes, lots of options and great value. I had the dark chocolate, peanut butter and jam slice - it was heaven! Then pancakes loaded with fruit and peanut butter. Also very nice. Worth going out your way for this place.

Pros: Cakes, Variety of treats, Value

A real GEM, worth a trip

Via the app I found this absolute treasure. The owner makes a large range of raw and cooked sweet treats, protein waffles, gorgeous smoothies and savoury dishes. It's worth a trip too for take out or too eat in the small sit down area. If this was in another location it would be mega expensive so go visit. It's so nice to find a vegan place with healthy choices. Hats off to the female led business!!!

Delightful, Delicious and Passionate

An excellent Vegan and Food-Ethical oasis - well worth seeking out if you’re visiting or passing through this region of the UK. The use of plastic containers was a problem for me initially but Lauren the proprietor explained that the containers are washed and reused if appropriate or composted in her own facility if disposal is necessary.

Pros: Unusual and delightful range of Café style food, Proprietor/Chef interesting, helpful, passionate, Very reasonable prices

Cons: No bathroom

Thank you for the lovely review. I'd like to assure you we are also against single use plastic. Our 'plastic' packaging is vegware, made from plants not plastic. It is also fully compostable and any used packaging onsite is taken and we compost it ourselves. We also recycle packaging we recurve from our suppliers. Thanks again for the lovely review ?

Such a treat!

Such a treat to find a place like this in Hucknall, even more so that it’s a 100% vegan. The owner is lovely and even let me have a little sample of pea mylk which I’d yet to try. It’s delicious btw! Good selection of other mylks for hot drinks too. They offer breakfast and lunches, as well as gorgeous little treats. I opted for the tofu and noodle satay dish to takeaway along with the peanut butter cups. Both were delicious, I think the peanut butter cups will be a new favourite of mine! Everything is gluten free and refined sugar free too, but this doesn’t mean it’s lacking in flavour. The price I found was incredibly reasonable, I’ll be stocking up next time. Bonus having some time limited free on street parking and a small indoor seating area. I’ll be returning ASAP!
