Nice but lots of olives - Edit
A place with a very nice vibe and staff. Most of the food items had olives in it, which is not a favorite of mine. Only a few marked vegan items, but more could be made vegan on request.

Burgir not too special - Edit
The burgir was great as the patty was made from beans and olives. I love olives. My girlfriend hates them (olives theory). Her falafel wrap was quite basic. The burger had nice cheese, worth the 50c extra. I would not go there again as there was not a lot of choice.

Good Falafel Wrap - Edit
Very sweet little cafe/bar, friendly staff and quick service. Vegan options were marked as vegan! The falafel wrap was good. The seating area outside is a bit strange, there are very small tables and small seats and you sit directly on a pavement in between passing pedestrians and cars, but they have a few seats inside.
Read moreThey asked if we wanted the Falafel Wrap spicy and I said yes, but there was no difference between spicy and non spicy. Otherwise good.

Good food - Edit
From what i saw not so many vegan options considering its a vegetarian cafe, but some of the options could be made vegan upon request. Very hippie kind of vibe not for everyone but nice food and good service.

Great Quirky Hangout - Edit
Visited for lunch as our cruise ship was docked in Valletta. Such a quirky place with vegan options and allergen information too. Ordered vegan burger and falafel wrap and two juices. Food was delicious and the juices lovely and thirst quenching. Loved this place and would definitely return.

Hidden gem with alternative vibe - Edit
This place is located in the center but still away from the busy streets, so you're unlikely to find it strolling around. It's still always full and has a great vibe. They have many vegan options including wraps, burger and ftira to a really fair price. I really liked the food.

Dry food, smells like mold - Edit
A truly disappointing place. Their vegetarian dishes may be alright, but I don't know about those. All the vegan options are horrible. Tasteless, dry, hard to eat. Feels like they have just taken a vegetarian dish and removed the cheese, without substituting it for anything. I've been here several times, and disappointed every time. And the whole place, especially the basement, smells like mold very strongly, so bad it's hard to breathe.

Not impressed - Edit
I went to Gugar with the intention to have dinner one evening in Valletta. I ordered a beer and then sat down outside to drink it and have a look at the menu. Unfortunately the staff decided to essentially take the night off and sit outside on the stairs and hang out with the patrons chatting and yelling to one another. At one point some people arrived (they had to literally step over staff sitting on the steps to even get into the place) and the staff thought it was hilarious that the first thing they said was “do you do takeout” as they didn’t like vibe of the place. Needless to say I did not stay for dinner and would not recommend.

Cool atmosphere and delicious food! - Edit
Loved this place. Centrally locates and easy to find. Has adorable outdoor seating on the sidewalk, good AC inside, a full bar, and a ton of great vegetarian food, most of which can be mad vegan upon request with vegan cheese etc! We had the fajitas and they were amazing. We even got drinks for take away which was a nice way to go back to our airbnb.

Vegan haven - Edit
Spent most nights at the delightful Gugar , drinking the best vegan smoothies ever had. Banoffee smoothie made vegan with extra attention of very friendly staff. Great food , great prices and really quirky laid back atmosphere. Amazing range of music.Virtually no one using phones , instead people were playing games and enjoying each other’s company. UNO is quite addictive! Best place in Valletta by far.
