Best vegan food I’ve had down here

This is the best vegan food I’ve had so far in this area. I got the tofu kabobs, but I ordered a side of fries to go with it to fill me up because the garlic bread looked like it had butter on it. #Veganuary

Inexpensive dinner option

I had one of the three labeled vegetarian options (only two vegan): vegetarian tofu skewers and added some grilled potatoes and roasted garlic bread. The service was fast and friendly. The food was filling and good for what it was, the tofu was a bit bland and needed more seasoning. They bring good spicy sauces and dips with the meal. If your omni friends want to come here, it's good to have a vegan option, but I wouldn't go back for what they offer.

Pros: Inexpensive, Fast and friendly , Central location

Cons: Grilled meat everywhere , Limited choices

GO THERE

Not entirely vegan BUT great options, great location and a very attentive waiter (Raoul). He patiently explained me the vegan dishes they have and when serving it, he mentioned, that the tofu was cooked separately.

Pros: Huge portion, Yummy, lots of greens, Well informed waiter

Double check ingredients

We asked for the vegan super vegetariano. Very fast service, we needed to catch our bus and the kitchen did a fast job of preparing the food.
However we were given garlic bread which we didn’t eat as it seemed very likely to contain milk.
Also too many plastic bags. Be careful with take away.

Pros: Fast service

Cons: Expensive, Double check ingredients, Too much plastic

Several vegetarian options, some vegan; outstanding service

My review comes from a bit of a different perspective: Guajimbos has live music almost every night, and I sing there two nights a week. I watch a lot of customers come through, and I eat there regularly.

Guajimbos has good salads, which they'll make to your liking. The vegetable soup is freshly made, and can be ordered with our without tofu. My husband usually gets the pincho vegetariano: a grilled kebob of tofu, onion, red pepper, and tomato. The also have a "super vegetariano" which has tofu and tempe along with veggies and rice (brown) or potatoes.

Service at restaurants in Pana is generally slow, but not at Guajimbos: they have the best service staff in town. The portions are quite large, and the food is consistent (though not stellar). In a town with limited vegan options, the choices here are better than most.

If you sit at a table on the street, the vendors coming in to try and sell you stuff can be annoying (they come into many of the Pana restaurants).

Pros: Friendly staff, Good food, Large portions

Cons: Street vendors
