Lovely little coffee shop! We stopped off on our long drive home, just planning on getting a coffee, but ended up getting vegan omelettes filled with cheese, spinach, tomatoes, and topped off with balsamic and hot sauce! Bloomin' lovely!

Small but perfectly formed - Edit
What a find! Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Swansea town centre, Ground is well worth seeking out. We sat at a pavement table in the sun and enjoyed sensationally good ‘pastrami’ wraps (the pastrami is made in house) - bliss! The cafe is run by a lovely lady called Helen who makes all the cakes too. It’s predominantly coffee & cake but the house wrap is fantastic. Great food. Friendly service. Fab coffee. And a plastic free policy too. Honestly, the world needs more like this.

Liked croissant & iced latte but didn't like the pastrami wrap. - Edit
More flavour to the 'pastrami meat' or perhaps using marinated tempeh instead. Less sauerkraut and mustard.

Great place to grab a bite for the road - Edit
Delicious coffee and the best croissants I've had hands down, I see others have commented on the value, I thought it was really good value, but depends on what process you're used to I guess! Wraps are bangin too!

Nice vegan takeaway - Edit
Really nice drinks and snacks/cakes. Pretty expensive though, and don't go expecting to sit in and have your coffee as there's little to no seating or room, and it's kind of an awkward location for a takeaway given that there's not much else nearby. I'd recommend stopping by if you find yourself passing though!

Nice little coffee spot - Edit
The coffee was nice and the food lovely but you don’t get an awful lot for your money. I had the VLT which was lush and my partner had the wrap of the day. It was tasty but could have done with some side salad. Also had a brownie and a cookie which were very nice. There’s only about 6 seats if you do plan on going to sit down and eat or drink. Great for takeaway.

Absolutely Perfect - Edit
Ground Is such a fabulous coffee bar. First things first, the coffee is excellent quality and made with Oatly Barista. Secondly, the weekly wraps are totally unique, with really interesting and delicious fillings. Thirdly, the ice cream is the best vegan ice cream I’ve tasted, with lovely toppings. I also have to mention the freshly baked croissants! Again, the best I’ve tasted.

Nice little Coffee Shop! - Edit
Like the name says they specialise in coffee and primarily use oat milk. They offer a small selection of cakes, cookies, macaroons, smoothies, soft serve gelato and one sandwich/wrap.
Read moreThere is only 1 table with 2 seats and is mostly a take away spot. It was lovely to meet Helen & Rhi who are quite passionate about what they do.
Rhi was making 6 new hot drinks while I walked in for their Winter Special menu to take photos. They have chocolate red velvet, hot chocolate, macha, turmeric, beetroot and chai latte. They offered me one complimentary, so I had the red velvet one which was very nice. I like their unique selection of hot drinks.
I also tried their jerk chicken style wrap which was nice. Helen made the seitan chikn herself from scratch. I also tried the soft serve with biscoff sauce which was more like a gelato than an icecream but was ok.
Pros: 100% Vegan
Cons: No indoor seating

Hello
Read moreI'd appreciate you to review your feedback which I find to be very harsh.
They primary focus is on Hot drinks and have a small selection of sweet treats with 1 meal of the day. They are not a full cafe.
If there is any developmental feedback please tell the business directly so they can take it on board. We should encourage and support vegan businesses when we can. Such a review and rating is unfair to an independent and vegan business.

I'm very sorry to read you were disapointed with your visit to Ground. All I can say is that this is the only negative review or feedback we have recieved since opening and I'm afraid I feel what you have written is unfair. We make everything ourselves by hand, including cakes, treats and the wrap fillings. Items are priced to reflect the love and hard work that has gone into making them. We buy nothing in from wholesalers and sell absolutely nothing in plastic. You may well find cheaper food elsewhere, but it will not have been made by hand using high-quality ingredients. We are working very hard to offer the nicest vegan cakes and drinks possible, in the hope of helping more people go vegan. Thank you to Konlish for your support and comments regarding the review.

Hidden Gem - Edit
We had the sup wrap (very tasty), the choc chip cookie and coffee and walnut cake. All very tasty. Great to see a fully vegan coffee bar in Swansea and a few mins walk from Victoria Park or the beach to eat your nibbles.
