Best porridge in town - Edit
The porridge at Grod is like nothing you have ever tasted. Loads of different toppings to choose from to make it exactly how you like it. Good variety of other dishes too. Sadly not dog friendly

Good for the full family and fairly priced - Edit
Cozy atmosphere, the food at lunch was very nice and also our 5 year old happily finished the whole plate! Also prices are very good for Copenhagen, especially since every dish is more than filling enough!

Excelente comida - Edit
Varias opciones. Todas son muy saludables. Me encanta la cebada como base pues no suelo consumirla. El barley otto es buenísimo en cualquiera de sus versiones

Experiment - Edit
I've been here a few times and it's always so salty, so warming and so good. It's worth exploring their make your own porridge menu as I've tried their speciality porridge and it was a bit too sweet for my liking with the caramel sauce. You can discover some fabulous concoctions.

Filling - Edit
We got their all in oats and the barley-Otto with mushrooms. The all in oats had a very high topping to oat ratio so I would probably do the 3 topping option instead. The barley Otto was delicious and a nice break from sweet porridge. The truffle Mayo and pickled onions balanced everything. It’s described as “with tons of veg” but I could do with even more kale and cabbage!

Great food and prices - Edit
I had the barley and mushroom risotto bowl. It was a perfect combination of hot risotto, fresh cabbage and kale, tangy pickeled onions, and crunchy roasted salted almonds. The combination and texture of ingredients was very satisfying. The portion was enough for two meals. The risotto was definitely on the salty side, which is why I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars, but was still delicious. I also had a fresh apple, celery, ginger, lemon juice. It was refreshing but mostly tasted like apple juice. Great, friendly service (I went to their location in Christiana) with indoor or outdoor seating. Great prices for Copenhagen.

Really nice variation of 'risottos' - Edit
Small café/restaurant with a lot of breakfast options which can be ordered until 5 pm and also different risotto-like dishes. The staff was friendly, vegan dishes and dishes that can be veganised were clearly labelled and the preparation was quick.

Delicious and filling - Edit
GROD is a popular place for breakfast porridge (you can customise your porridge with an amazing choice of toppings) , but they also serve savoury meals, most of them with a mushy consistency (the concept of GROD). We went there in the evening and I had a mushroom-barley“otto“, a risotto not made of rice, but of barley. It was very flavoursome, but they also offer the barleyotto as part of a bowl (with salad). Next time I would prefer this one for a wider variety of taste and more freshness.
Read moreYou can get small or large bowls, the large one was 80 DKK which is rather cheap for Denmark.
Would not hesitate to go there again.
They also sell their muesli in packages for preparation at home, and at an IRMA supermarket I discovered packed lentil curries that you can heat in a microwave from GROD. The one I bought was also very good.
