3.5 - only one vegan option but delicious - Edit
There was only one “veganizable” option on the menu, the Jalla but no bun. I was told that the bun had egg. The server was very friendly and the meal was good. Just disappointed in the lack of options.

Grateful for Ground Squirrel in 29 Palms! - Edit
We were so pleasantly surprised to find a gem in 29 Palms with some vegan choices not far from the remote 29 Palms Joshua Tree entrance. They were super accommodating and happy to make any tweaks we suggested to make things work for us. Super tasty food! Their falafel sandwich on their gluten free bun was awesome! There is an outdoor patio, but they also offer take out so we took our dinner back into the park to enjoy under the stars. We also made the Dank Salad vegan by skipping the blue cheese and added crispy tofu. House pickled veggies were delicious. The place even has a beautiful hand painted mural on the wall outside, open mic nights and live local music.
