Amazing options!!

Grindcore House is definitely a philly vegan staple. This place is what got me to like breakfast sandwiches! The grizzly is my favorite.

I LOVE Grindcore House - I still remember my first time there back in 2016! You just reminded me that I have to get back to Philadelphia ❤️

Philly’s Finest

The Costmo is probably the best vegan breakfast sandwich in town. Great coffee and pastries as well. Music and atmosphere on point, honestly one of my favorite spots.

The best vegan brunch

The drinks were so so so good and the food was even better. We got the club house sandwich and grizzli.
That was the best vegan biscuit I’ve ever had. Every single part of the grizzli could stand on its own and then they put it all together to make magic.
There’s seating in the back. #Veganuary

Always on point

My favorite things to get from them are their thai iced tea, bear claw, strawberry matcha (seasonal), and cuban sammie. Staff are always chill and prices are more than reasonable esp for philly #Veganuary

Pros: Everything

Great breakfast spot!

Plenty of seating, and as the name implies, they were listening to grindcore when we walked in. Coffee was great, we tried several different sandwiches and loved every one of them. Their baked tofu was a solid egg replacement, and the veg they used on their sandwiches was very fresh. Can't wait to go back!

Yummy!

We tried the grizziti breakfast sandwich and the B.L.A.T. Both were very yummy. Staff were nice. They have outdoor and indoor seating. Cool environment and they play heavy metal

A breakfast go to

Delicious and so many good options! I love the grizzli breakfast sandwich that was on a biscuit. I’ve heard that all of the sandwiches are good from friends in the neighborhood. Also had an iced matcha which was good as well. Several milk options are available.

Pros: Very tasty , Lots of breakfast and sweets options , Fun cool vibe

Cons: A tad pricey (but worth it imo)

Great sandwiches

The Mickey G was delicious! No donuts in the case this morning, but they did have cinnamon bun and coffee cake available, as well as cake and cannoli. Would go back frequently if we were local!

Pros: Lots of great options, Friendly local atmosphere

Cons: Just 4 bar seats

Trips here make my day

One of the best dirty chai lattes I have ever had, amazing staff, and the coolest place. Love having an all vegan coffee shop/cafe and am glad I don't live closer or I would be there every day. The breakfast sandwiches are out of this world and making one with the biscuits from Miss Rachel's is GENIUS!

Good coffee and nice staff

When I arrived at grindcore house they just had the menu to go at this day. The coffee I ordered was good and it was easy to order online. The music I could hear from outside was great! I hope I can go there again when they have opend again the Café itself.

Okay?

This place seemed like a good idea at the time. If you’re not from the area, or a regular, you wouldn’t automatically know the policy’s in place. When you first get there you can’t even tell if it’s open or not, let alone know to order online because the signs aren’t noticeable. The customer service was off and the working came off rude. I’m paying $7 for a chai latte, the employees could at least be nicer. Based on that, I would take my money somewhere else. The drink wasn’t worth the $7.

Great vegan coffee shop!

Amazing zucchini bread and several fun cream cheese flavors for the bagels! My friend swears by the grizzli breakfast sandwich.

Pros: So many good options!, Friendly service!

Cons: Hours- I just like coffee early :)

Not worth it

I typically don’t leave reviews like this but I don’t want others to have the same experience that I had. I got the Classic Breakfast Sandwich and it tasted like it’s been frozen from the day before. Very dry and just blah. I also got a dirty chai latte and it was disgusting. On top of all that the service was transactional and the person taking orders was short with customers and just not friendly. Not the best way to start your morning.

Pros: They’re exclusively Vegan

Cons: Rude service, Pricey, Unfriendly

Coffee place

This place is always my first stop when I visit Philly, sick coffee pastries and sandwiches, both locations are great. Hope they bring back seating eventually but I get it these are scary times.

Vegan baked goods and great coffee.

Whenever I get to Philly early and have time for a cup of coffee, this is my first stop. Great baked goods and good coffee. If you don’t like death metal, being tour noise cancelling headphones to read or do work while sitting in this unique spot.

Such a solid breakfast spot

Really good sandwich, the highlight was the ghost pepper scream cheese for me! Hands down the best cream cheese I’ve had since going vegan. They also carry baked goods from Vegan Treats which is stellar. I haven’t had a cheese danish in a decade. The espresso was also really impressive.

Pros: Food is great , Unique menu items , Wonderful coffee

Cons: Way too much Mayo on everything

South Philly gold

Best place to grab a quick bite with some coffee in South Philly. Sandwiches are amazing. Coffee and tea are both always on point. They also have a bunch of sweets from local vegan bakeries. My non vegan friends love their options. Never disappointed.

Pros: Vegan, Affordable , Dessert options from local bakeries

Great options and good food

This was our first time here so we decided to get some bakery items, hoagies, and a beverage. My favorite items were the zucchini bread and the prickly pear limeade. The cream cheese coffee was cake was okay, but it wasn’t what I expected so the flavor caught me off-guard. It tastes more like a cream cheese danish than a coffee cake. I’m always excited to get a hoagie so I was happy with the Italino. I’ll come back and visit again to try more items, including an espresso-based item. I recommend that you order online at least 20 minutes beforehand if you are ordering a sandwich, hoagie, etc. It will limit the time that you have to stand outside.

My home

I love this place! The clubhouse on rye is seriously like the best sandwich I've ever had. They have a great variety of treats and drinks. They are kind of expensive, especially when it comes to the sweets. But their cinnamon rolls/sticky buns are huge, so I'd recommend those at least if you're on a budget 😅

I lived two different places just a few blocks from here, so I used to order Grindcore all the time. I miss when the store was open. I loved sitting in the back with all the weird art, books, and music. But they are crazy efficient with their online oders, and I'm happy the staff are safe.

Pros: Great food, Far left

Cons: Are often out of the treat you want, Kind of expensive
