Not for the Dustbin - Edit

We were here for a late lunch and sat in the front, which was more like a cafe than a bar. My berry smoothie ($7) was OK but really needed a bit more banana for body and to support the sour berry taste. I was glad to see they use metal straws though. The frankfurter in a bun ($15) was a tasty version of what you’d expect (mustard, pickles, etc), although I’m in two minds about the tempeh chips in it, which had a bit of a chewy texture. The hot chips ($7) were perfectly cooked: crisp and delicious. The smoked tofu sandwich ($15) was tasty and fresh, with cucumber and tomato balancing the denseness of the tofu. The owner was very friendly and helpful and I’m looking forward to coming back one evening for a drink and snacks.

Pros: Good food/Perfectly cooked chips , Friendly owner , Metal straws

Cons: Smoothie needed more banana

All vegan on the inner south. Yay! - Edit

Super excited to have a vegan bar cafe that lives up to the Northside offering.

Can highly recommend the iced coffees, milkshakes, Black Forest cake, Mac and cheese and The Frank sandwich. We’ll be ordering everything on the menu eventually.

The staff member (owner?) is lovely and the food is very well priced.

Definitely go and support this awesome all vegan business.

Pros: Food, Price , Service

Cons: Add a breakfast menu please 🙏

Early days - Edit

The menu while varied could do with refining as all of the meals I sampled on my first visit were quite underwhelming.

Its great to see an all vegan bar in Melbourne and I really would like to see this venue succeed. I hope they will continue to improve over time with honest feedback.

delightful! - Edit

I've been anticipating visiting this newly opened vegan bar and I was not disappointed. The staff are great, the food was surprisingly cheap and very satisfying. We had I was especially impressed by the cheese platter (blue vegan cheese?!), cauliflower nuggets and the Kaiju IPA. I look forward to visiting again.

A vegan walked into a VEGAN bar... - Edit

Nice warm, friendly owners who know their stuff and are passionate about veganism.

Cosy atmosphere. Chic place in the heart of Southside Chic, Chapel Street!!

Good music at a comfortable, non shouty level!!

Loads of vegan booze to get drunk on (please drink responsibly).

Cocktails and Mocktails are amazing and are made with attention to detail. Even the "Mary" in the Bloody Mary is ethically and humanely sourced.

Smoothies are super yum.

They do coffee, chai, tumeric latte too.

Loads of namaste herbal teas for your chakras, chi, prana etc.

All the food is super tasty... chips, cauliflower things, mac n cheese, potato salad, narchoes... Mmmmmmmm!!

[Larger menu coming soon - a few weeks or so?]

Cheese platter is lovely with a good selection of tasty vegan cheese. Note: it does include baby carrots. So vegans who don't eat baby vegetables for ethical reasons* need to request the BVF option.

Pros: Finally, a vegan bar!!, Yummy food n drinks., Nice owners.

Cons: Pay first - thus no "Dine n Dash" option., No mock - vegans are designed to eat mock. , That's why we have sharp pointy teeth.
