There are some reviews you wish you didn't have to write - Edit

This is from a visit in 2014.

This was one of the saddest restaurant experiences we ever had.

Had made a reservation for a vegan menu (because it is only plat du jour and it is standardly vegetarian not vegan). Quite late on a Sunday for lunch, no tables available earlier.

We entered the restaurant and heard the lady in the back say 'ah, de veganistjes' before we even said a word. It came across as quite patronising.

The soup of the day was said to be “vegetable soup”. I wouldn’t expect anything else than vegetable soup in a vegetarian restaurant, would have been nice if the waiter could have specified what soup it was though…

The plat du jour was bland. Tasteless. The salad on the side was like rabbit food.
Unfortunately nothing available on the table to spice things up a bit: no oil nor soy sauce, no veganaise, no salt nor pepper or other seasoning.

Dessert was non-vegan chocolate cake. They didn’t offer us an alternative, so we didn't have any, but by that time (as we had already waited quite some time to get our food), we wanted to leave anyway.

Decor was outdated. Dirty windows.

Would rate this one star, if it wasn't for Happy Cow's policy to automatically award at least 1 star to vegetarian restaurants.

Quite rude - Edit

I once mailed them asking if their food can be kept in the fridge as they were closed on the day I wanted to eat it. (I'd pick it up in the evening and eat it for lunch the next day, seemed like a reasonable enough question considering the kind of food/service they offer.) I received a rude email stating that they refuse to reply to a question like that as their food is meant to be eaten fresh. Any other restaurant would make suggestions, or at least be friendly about it, but not them. Unfortunately this has turned me off their restaurant forever. A good experience starts with helpful and friendly owners, if a potential client isn't allowed to ask a simple question... well...

Cons: Unhelpful, rude owners

Delish And Nutrish! - Edit

Small place, pretty popular with locals. Only has plate of the day, in two sizes: small (€10) and large (€11). Variety of foods on plate from tofu to grains, salad, potato, chickpeas and a slice of tasty quiche. I assume this changes daily. Also inexpensive soup of the day and a desert.
I think if you are vegan you may be better calling in advance.
Owner very friendly.
The food was fresh and tasty, nothing fancy but a healthy, nutritious and satisfying plate of food.
No menu, but I like that. You just get what you're given!

Pros: Filling, Healthy, Good Value

Cons: No Menu
