Veggie fast food restaurant with several outlets in Belgium; this one is a counter in the mall at Brussels-Midi (Zuid) train station. Greenway aims to introduce as many people as possible to its creative vegetarian cuisine because it is delicious, healthy and sustainable. Based on this tasty idea, Paul Florizoone launched the Greenway restaurant concept in Ghent in 1996. Open Mon-Fri 6:30am-8:00pm, Sat-Sun 8:00am-8:00pm.

Sorry I Only Came Here Once! - Edit

I went to Greenway on the last day of my trip, on my way back to the UK. It was so delicious, I wish I would've eaten there a few times. I had a lovely wrap with a side of potatoes - the food was hot, fresh and tasty. I didn't find it too expensive compared to other places in Brussels. I also got served pretty quickly, despite the fact there was only one staff member. I would DEFINITELY eat here again, tasty 'fast food' in the train station. Fab!

Pros: Delicious food, Inexpensive, Easy tp find

Great food - Edit

One of the best burgers I've ever had! You've got to try them :)
The wraps are really good too!
I also had the chance to have their food at festivals, they had other meals like noodles, samosas (if I remember well).

Great stuff!

Pros: Excellent food

Cons: A little bit expensive (but worth it)

Fresh Vegan Options at the Station - Edit

Visited in October 2016.

We were looking forward to taking away at Greenway after checking the reviews; however, I must say we were disappointed.

We had two wraps (falafel & yakitori wrap); and we found them to be too heavy and, too salty in case of the yakitori one.
On the bright side, the portions were good, and the vegan cake was yummy.

There are plenty of vegan options to choose from (you can check the menu in advance online); but unfortunately we did not enjoy the choices we had that much.

The stand is run by one nice & friendly person.
So your food might take some few minutes to be ready.
By the way, there are some few tables in front, in case you want to eat right away.

Pros: vegan options, location, good value

Cons: wraps too heavy, not all vegan

Top adress in Brussels for a burger! - Edit

W've eaten the mexican burger, it was very good. The man was alone to serve 5 people before us and he was fast and friendly at the same time. We wait less than 10 minutes to be served.
An excellent adress in Brussels to eat a good burger (or a wrap).
Just a little bit expensive. (8€ for a burger)

Pros: delicious burger, fast, friendly people

Cons: the situation in a station , price (8€ for a burger)

Sometimes I stop by Brussels just for this - Edit

Their burgers, wraps, basically everything is delicious. The "meat" is so good, it actually tastes like pork. And the japanese wrap tastes so much like chicken that I had to double check. Their cakes are amazing too. Besides the delicious food, the staff there is the best! The girl who works there sings Bowie songs and has glitters on her lid and the guy is so funny. If you're in Brussels you definitely need to try it !

Pros: All good

Great spot for a quick bite - Edit

A great little spot in the mall at Bruxelles-Midi Station. Their Mexican burger is delicious. Not a great ambience (it is a mall after all), but great food. We thought it might be difficult to find in the mall, but Google Maps app knew exactly where it was.

Pros: good vegan options

Delicious food, friendly service :-) - Edit

We had their vegan Mexican burger, it was delicious. Vegan items are clearly marked. Smaller portion than a US-sized burger. Also enjoyed their dessert pie. Staff was pleasant. Highly recommend.

Love this place! - Edit

Superb little spot at Brussels Midi. The food is super tasty and full of flavor -creative, satisfying burgers and wraps with amazing sauces to say the least. The carrot cake is amazing, and I hope they keep growing, I'd love to try new baked goods from this place. Big plus: coffee and tea is also great. As someone who needs to take the train frequently at Brussel Zuid, I'm thrilled that I discovered this place! I'm very picky with food so trust me in this, it is amazing.

highly impressed! - Edit

upon arrival, I wasn't sure what to think of this place - not really a restaurant, just another food stall within a shopping mall? BUT, when ordering, I was (happily) surprised by the friendly staff and furthermore that the cakes are vegan :)
i've ordered the kebap wrap in combination with a carrot cake which together was offered for a special price.
the wrap was freshly prepared but didn't take long. and: was delicious! and oh so much! i had to save the cake for later. my friend had the curry which, also, looked and tasted really nice.
altogether, i'm highly impressed by what this kinda plain looking place has to offer. huge vegan range. reasonable prices. totally recommended!

Pros: taste, variety, service

Superb - Edit

Brussels is not the ideal city for vegans so I was thrilled to find Greenway. We ate there three times. It's a casual spot located inside Gare du Midi (Brussel-Zuid) train station and can be a little tricky to find (it's not located within the main food court area). The restaurant is vegetarian but not exclusively vegan. There were several vegan options to choose from and they were clearly marked on the menu. I had the Mexican Smoked Jalapeno burger twice and the Kebab wrap once. Both times I also had a nice side salad (Peruvian coleslaw) with the meal (burger and side salad were 10 euro). I loved everything but the Mexican burger was outstanding - one of the best I've ever had and I've been vegan for over 10 years. I found the food fresh and the woman working there was very friendly and helpful. We also had the chai latte which was delicious and not overly sweet. The carrot cake and brownies were also good.

Having visited lots of restaurants in Europe on our recent trip, Greenway was one of the best. I still dream of that burger. :)

Pros: delicious food w/ vegan options, reasonable prices, friendly service

Cons: Only one location in Brussels

Great burgers with a mexican vegan option. Vegan falafels, nice salads, vegan brownies and all coffees with soya milk!
The manager and the staff were really friendly and cool by calling us "ladies" :-D
Thank you for the nice food

Good vegan options - Edit

I had been to the Greenway in Gent a number of times before coming here, so I knew the food would be good. I was kind of hoping the whole menu would be available, but this is more of an "express" outlet of the restaurant. That said, there are some good, well-marked, vegan options on the menu, including three wraps and two burgers. The best thing I've had so far is the Kebab wrap. The Yakitori wrap wasn't bad flavor-wise, but the chick'n pieces were a bit tough and the wrap was really small. I will say that the day I got that wrap was the very first day they were open at that location, so I attribute the quality/size issues to them still getting their feet wet there. I'll definitely try it again. The jalapeno burger was flavorful as well, but I expected it to be spicier and the bun was a bit dry. That said, I will go out of my way to come here for the Kebab wrap and the vegan brownies!

Pros: lots of vegan options, decent value, FAST

Cons: a bit hard to find, variable quality, no cash

Excellent food and quick service - Edit

Went there for lunch today and had the "kebab" wrap.
The fake meat was delicious as was the garlic sauce. Plenty of veggies in the wrap as well. Overall a good experience. And I think worth the money I spent (9 euros for wrap and bottle of water).
They have 3 burgers (2 are vegan) 3 wraps (all vegan), breakfast options and two salads.
I noticed that they had an oreo "cheese"cake brownies and plenty of other veggie/vegan snacks.
I'd definately go back again.

Pros: Good food, fast service

Cons: restricted seating, busy surroundings (train station)

Good fast food - Edit

This is a great place to grab some lunch if you're travelling in the area. We went twice, and there were enough vegan options for us to try different things both times (two vegan burgers, three wraps, all clearly labelled on the menu board). The Mexican jalapeno burger is in no way spicy, but the fake chicken was really good and it was a tasty burger nevertheless. The mock meat in the kebab and yakitori wrap was also delicious. The falafel wrap, on the other hand, was pretty disappointing, and I'd sooner just get falafel from a specialised place. The cakes are also marked vegan - they were nice, but nothing amazing.

On the downside, you have to pay by card.

Pros: Fast service, Good vegan options, Tasty food

Cons: Payment by card

Delicious! Recommended - Edit

They have a small menu of burgers, wraps, salads, and other treats. Delicious vegan options. Definitely recommend. Read below for clear instructions to get there.

My boyfriend and I were determined to find this place during a brief stop in Brussels, and it proved to be quite a challenge. I hope this helps...It IS in the train station. Enter through 'Place Horta/Hortaplein' entrance. Turn right immediately. Walk just a bit, and it is on the right (past Exki).

Vegetarian oasis in Midi Station - Edit

I had a snack at Green Way on Monday afternoon, and then I had lunch there before going to the airport on Tuesday. The place is located in the Midi Station, in the Galerie Horta, in a very crowded place (lots of people passing by!). They have a number of tables where one can sit comfortably and eat.

They serve salads (I had one on Monday afternoon, really tasty, although maybe a bit cold), burgers (soy burgers, of course, they have three different ones), sweets, several beverages including coffees and cappuccinos (with soy milk)...

On Tuesday I had the cheeseburger and it was very good (8 euros more or less), the burger itself is big and one of the best I've ever eaten, the bread was also nice (full of seeds). Then I also had a vegan brownie with a cappuccino (5 euros more or less), I was very full when I left.

I liked the place very much, and I will certainly go again there in case I pass from Brussels and I'm close to Midi Station! As for the prices, I'm not an expert of Bruxelles' prices, but I guess that it can be considered cheap/average.

Pros: Good food, Friendly and quick staff
