The best food. Best Prices. :) - Edit
I am very excited to hear that Greens finally went vegan a little while back. Very good food and inexpensively priced. Very friendly and amazing staff and owner. Very clean and nice place. Too bad they do not use organic/veganic ingredients and do not have many raw vegan or dessert options. Highly recommend.

Had a spring roll and lemon 'chicken' with steamed rice. Portion was large enough to feed a family of 4!

Ordered No. 46 sweet & sour mock chicken & No. 56 fried rice noodles with mock beef.
Read moreChicken was really tasty, well fried and fluffy. Beef a little less in taste, but also good.
Portions are huge! We were not able to eat it all. One main rice is enough for two people - without problem.
Staff is nice and super friendly.

Incredible - Edit
Definitely holds up to “Best Chinese Restaurant in Toronto”. Prices are fantastic, portions are MASSIVE. Deep fried golden heaven crispiness. This is a must stop for visiting vegans. Was absolutely packed when we arrived at dinner time but it was still such a great, friendly experience. The sweet n sour mock chicken balls…. Do yourself a favour and order this (enough for the whole table to enjoy). Definitely will be back!

Never thought I’d say this, but the portions are too big! - Edit
We had lemon chicken and sweet&sour chicken, with a steamed rice to share. We could easily have share one of the main dishes between us. The sweet and sour chicken was really tasty. The lemon chicken was good, but the deep fried ‘chicken’ was a bit bland and relied heavily on the lemon sauce.
Read moreHaving read the reviews, we came with really high expectations. It was fine. Lovely service and staff, good food, amazing value, but not my favourite food that we’ve eaten while here.

Sweet & Sour Chickun Balls? This good? This IS the place. - Edit
Trying different Chinese restaurants across the city, we'll always look for our favourites that bought us into the cuisine. While Vegan deep fried Chickun wings remain elusive, Greens has tasty, crispy (not hard) Sweet & Sour Chickun Balls in the sauce it was meant to be drizzled with. They'll give you more if you need to drown them. Staff are all lovely and the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. So many other items on the menu you also need to try. The portions are so generous, you will be taking much home even with a small order. You gotta eat here!

A big tasty meal and good value - Edit
We got eggplant with black bean sauce, spicy mock chicken, and Singapore noodles. They were all very tasty and the portions were huge. Lots of protein per dish with a variety of veggies. A comfy dining experience with a pot of tea for the table, and nice plating (it looked better than the photo because I ate some first)

Fantastic comfort food. The mock duck is amazing especially if you dine in - the freshly fried beancurd skin is perfectly crisp. If you’re getting takeout you might want to order something else, my leftover duck didn’t stay crispy. Server was really nice too. Definitely coming back for more

Massive portions, good price - Edit
Got a delivery so I can’t comment on the actual restaurant experience, but nevertheless, the food was great. Each portion actually ended up being enough for three meals so I definitely got my money’s worth! My only gripe is that it was pretty greasy whereas I’d expected something a bit healthier

Don't order number 40 from the menu - Edit
I went alone to this restaurant. I read somewhere, probably a Google review, recommending the number 40 from their menu, so I decided to try it out. Terrible mistake. The taste was bland, relied completely on the side sauce and the portion was huge, so I was not able to order anything else since I didn't have anyone to share it with. Anyway, I see potential in this restaurant but, next time I'll go with someone and certainly will not order this dish.

Green's is a great restaurant with excellent food and service. It's inexpensive compared to most other places in the city and their portions are big! Free jasmine tea, too. I live in Toronto and eat here all the time.

Nice Place - Edit
Went alone and had the small wonton soup (22) and the fried rice noodles with mock beef (56).
Read moreThe food arrived quickly and I had to ask the staff if they were sure the soup was a small as the bowl it came in looked more like a large. I was assured it was a small and unsurprisingly, I could not finish everything and ended up taking the left overs with me.
The portions are indeed huge as others say and I realized that either of these dishes would have been more than enough for the average person.
The food was tasty and the prices were very fair. I am glad I visited this place.
Pros: All vegan, Friendly staff, Fair prices

I love this place so much! - Edit
If I could choose one place from Toronto to open a branch at my hometown, it would be Greens Vegetarian restaurant.
Read moreI visited four times and almost everything I tried was just great. It is not a fancy place and the dishes are not sophisticated - but they are well prepared and very tasty and satisfying. Also they are usually huge and quite cheap.
I especially recommend spicy green beans with dry tofu (31), and eggplant with tofu in black bean sauce (36).
I also liked the wonton soup (22) and crispy soya fritters (13).
Pros: Tasty, Large portion

Very disappointing - Edit
We were sooo hungry and were really excited to eat here. We ordered three dishes which took half an hour to arrive, and they looked nothing like the pictures advertised on the menu
Read moreThe sweet and sour chicken was way too dry, the mapo tofu was just silken tofu and frozen vegetables in a salty sauce, and the veg fried rice was bland..
The staff were friendly though, and we may have just got unlucky with the dishes we got because the restaurant was pretty busy and other diners seemed to be enjoying their food!
Pros: Large portion sizes , Friendly staff
Cons: Very unimpressed by food

My mom and husband love this place - Edit
My mom who isn’t vegan always wants to order from here because she loves the sweet and sour chicken and the fried rice. My husband also loves these, and we all love the green beans. Some dishes have been bland (the vegetable sides and the dumplings), but overall it is good.

So unfortunately I didn't love anything that we ordered BUT my friend is crazy about this place. Turns out I don't like taro, mock duck (it freaks me out), but I did like the tofu, broccoli and their black bean sauce. I would definitely give this place a try.

Tofu Dream - Edit
The “dry tofu” pieces that came with the green beans were just delicious! The Shanghai noodles were nice and smoky and were plentiful. Sweet and sour “chicken” balls? So yum that my non-vegan roommate kept stealing them!
