The view is incredible

This restaurant is right on the water, which makes such a romantic date night or just overall memorable experience. Staff are amazing and trained in hospitality, definitely an upscale dining experience.

Good Food and Wonderful Setting

I used to come here every year for my birthday lunch. Very good food, and the setting with a bay view is of course amazing!

fine dining

Went here on my first date! We had window seats with a great view! Our server was so kind and sweet! The pasta was great, we were only a little sad they ran out of the kimchi dish. Would like to go here again soon.

Unique and delicious options

Had a wonderful dinner here, reservations were easy to make and service was fast and helpful. The food was delicious! I would recommend getting one of each course and having a wine pairing with at least your entree. The restaurant is beautiful and has a great view. Every dish on the main menu could be made vegan with little compromise in taste. The dessert menu had 3/6 vegan options.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Attentive and knowledgeable staff

Cons: Expensive, but you get what you pay for sometimes

No Vegan labels, but many dishes can be Veganized

Very cool vegetarian restaurant in the Fort Mason area with a nice view of the SF east marina. Although their menu doesn't have anything labeled as vegan, when we asked the server, she rifled off about 8 dishes that could be made vegan, mainly by removing cheese and adding tofu. The vegan options were great, I recommend the Shashouka. Beware though, the dishes are a tad on the small side, and they are expensive.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, although not labeled, Stone IPA was great, Great bay view

Cons: Expensive, Vegan options are not labeled, Long wait (make reservations)

Great service, food usually amazing!

I've been here several times and this porcini rositi is my least favorite dish I've had. It's ok, but I've had much better here. The service is great as always though and they were super fast. Make a reservation beforehand though! UPDATE: Wrote the review and was chatting with the server afterwards. I was discussing the dish with her and she could tell I was disappointed, so she offered me a salad on the house that she swears I'll love. The service here is really awesome, they aim to please for sure! On a side note, try to come during the day so that you can see the great view of the water!

Pros: Great service and Fort Mason where it is located, is in a nice part of the city. Your car , will be safe. Lol

Cons: Expensive and food is not consistently worth the, price. You need a reservation for sure!

Great Bay views, healthy food

For many years, Greens has been a San Francisco institution for healthy cuisine. It’s still a good spot for healthy veg cuisine with lovely views and usually warm service.

Gorgeous venue, killer food

Would recommend a place like this for a group with mixed eaters. The food is high quality and flavorful so if you don’t tell people it’s veggie, they probably won’t notice ;)

Pros: High quality veggie food that everyone will love , Great cocktails , Vintage but clean and chic setting

Cons: On the expensive side , A little outside of the bustling area

One of the most amazing veg places

Wow the asthteics of this place where gorgeous. Like a 1950s classic décoré with a sophisticated modern Japanese touch. The food was absolutely delicious and so was the presentation. you will love this place if your looking to go on a date or with group of friends. It's nostalgic gorgeous and great view of the GGB.

Great place

The menu is largely lacto-coo but when I asked, every single item was able to be made vegan. They don’t just remove items like cheese to make something vegan, but they replace it, which is awesome. Everything I’ve tried is fresh and delicious.

Also has lovely views of the marina. It’s a great space. There are several cute bars nearby for after-dinner drinks, but Greens has an extensive wine, beer, and cocktail list of its own.

Overrated & Overpriced

During a vacation in San Francisco we decided to eat at the famous „Greens“.
What a disappointment.

Too-cool-to-care staff, tasteless, very expensive meals and a overall kid-unfriendly atmosphere.
The waitress was visibly unhappy that we brought our well behaving, but somewhat hungry 4yo.
The food took forever to arrive and when it finally came it was just bland. And very expensive.

The only good thing was the breathtaking view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

I would give one or no stars if I could.

Awesome place!

The original location was closed due to a Chimney fire. They setup up a temporary location inside the Coal Ice exhibit. Which is right around the corner. We had the Black Bean Chile, Spring Rolls and Soy Tofu Avocado Sandwich. For dessert a Brownie. Everything was perfect. Really satisfying. Quiet with a great view.

Pros: Fresh and satisfying.

nice place for a business meal or fancy date

Upscale place with a beautiful view of the marina and golden gate bridge. The vegan food options are usually pretty good. They are understanding and accommodating, but for how expensive it is, sometimes I have been disappointed especially with the dessert options. Usually the only vegan dessert is sorbet balls that melt immediately. Nice place to bring out of town non-vegans or vegetarians for a nice experience, but I don't crave their food.

The best part of going here on a date is you can walk across the alley after dinner and catch live Improve at BATS improv.

Pros: beautiful view

Cons: expensive, could be more vegan options

Gourmet cuisine with a view

Wonderfully located on the bay with a terrific view over the Golden Gate Bridge, this essential, yet sophisticated restaurant offers some interesting vegan options with Middle Eastern and Asian influences. Some dishes are delicately spicy, such as the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, while others offer a nice experience, such as the mesquite grilled brochettes. The staff are friendly but not overwhelming.

Pros: terrific view over the bay, location, professional staff, food quality

Cons: limited vegan options

Elegant

My daughter and I ate here on our last day in San Francisco for brunch. We had a reservation and we were seated immediately. Everything was lovely and elegant but it was very busy causing it to be loud. I ordered what I think was the only vegan item on the menu that had a fancy name for a tofu and vegetable skewer with a lemony green sauce, served with great red and brown rice and a cabbage salad with a a very delicious and subtle dressing. We also had wonderful tea. My daughter broke the vegan rule to have the pizza but it was very sophisticated in its taste and as she said probably the best pizza she ever had. We had vegan desserts. My daughter had a three kinds of sorbet and I had chocolate mouse with cobnut ice cream. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and the setting was open and airy with a lovely view. My daughter and I felt that the experienced spoiled us for every day life! I don't know if I will ever be in San Francisco again, but if I am I will be sure to visit here.

NYE Prixe fixe

Visited on NYE for their prixe fixe four course dinner for $68/pp. the ambience was beautiful and the staff was so nice and the view was great. Food was delicious too, but was a little disappointed. I figured for a vegetarian restaurant they would be a lot more creative and vegan forward. I found the menu strictly vegetarian with the ability to go vegan without vegan cheese substitutes or seitan or tofu. Would still recommend though.

Pros: atmosphere , view, service

Cons: not as vegan creative as I was hoping
