Nice atmosphere and staff - Edit
If you want to eat plant based food without msg and a lot of additives, this is the place to go. The staff are super friendly and even the other guests were nice and chatty. I did add some pepper and hot sauce, as i guess i have been eating so much salt for a long time that i got used to it. Loved the kombucha as well and took some takeaway as well.

Every couple of months I make a trip to Herndon to visit Sprouts and GreenFare. I love that they're in the same shopping center, along with Mom's Market. Sometimes I call in an order but other times I grab one of the premade options from the cooler. The blueberry muffin never disappoints!

Fairly healthy option, but not tasty - Edit
Tried this place twice. Both dishes were disappointing, expensive, and the ingredients didn't match well. Ex: canned olives really didn't go with the mushroom and corn enchilada dish. I love the concept, but they need a new chef. The food I cook at home is just as healthy but much tastier and 1/5 of the price. Not sure if they don't use spices because the food is "American" style?

This is first and foremost a Health Food restaurant. Set your expectations for no added Salt/Oil/Sugar. That said, it was pretty tasty considering.

Flavorless - Edit
Just literally use spices. Use spices and seasonings that aren’t just salt and pepper and cook food right and you could be creating amazing flavors. Unfortunately that is not the vibe for this restaurant.

10/10 an awesome and exceptional food experince - Edit
Actually found these folks on Happy Cow and it was near the hotel and the YMCA I was swimming at. VERY interesting shopping center with a Sprouts and an Organic local market as well a pile of Thai and other restaurants in this same center. (cross posted here and Yelp)
Read moreFairly quiet when I arrived and took an inside table (just me) a few folks outside and it seemed a brick take-out business. REALLY clean and tidy.
The in house library was VERY extensive with all kinds of excellent books you can leave with it took me a DECADE to collect and read these titles and they have them all right there!!!
Service was fantastic.
I picked out a few kombucha out of the two local brands with numerous flavor in each.
After much indecision I went with the Organic fried Quinoa with baked tofu over mixed vegetables. This was tremendous, tasty, I must say massive dish. drizzled duck sauce, nice quinoa, fresh and crisp vegetables and a nice thin tofu slice. This was perfectly done.
There is NO doubt I will go back here next time in Reston. Saved as a favorite.
Pros: fresh organic food, service was exceptional, hugely nutritional and skilled kitchen
Cons: can't really make anything up right now.

You are certainly welcome. After reading some of these comments I was drawn to more fully comment: My reviews and feedback is : ALL about the food and the establishment/place, so thank you for your commitment to healthy eating and culinary excellence. I have eaten at a variety of places in the US and globally over the last 40 years of business travel and am actually a "selfish unethical vegan" for the last 12 years on my health and recovery journey. For me it's not about the animals per ce (i.e. I am not driving my car off the road and hitting a tree to avoid killing the squirrel in the road?) and ALL about my health as Dr. Greger would say "How Not to DIE" (or not DIET) I am not interested in Veganism or "wokeness" which detracts and distracts from the "animal" I am most concerned with and its survival - ME and my family and friends who are dropping like flies prematurely to CHD, stroke, diabetes, Alzheimer s. I appreciate all the caring folks here but I suggest if we focus on improving our own health and reducing chronic disease, than our consumerism/consumption will massively reduce the 50 billion animals slaughtered on the US each year and the adverse effects on our infrastructure and environment. The 'wokeness' and vegan-shaming does little to move the needle and is actually detrimental to the goal of changing health and disease in our society.

Terrible experience - Edit
I asked for takeout since they do not have many nut-free options and my boyfriend is allergic so he wasn't able to eat there.
Read moreThe attention was great but the food was 100% TERRIBLE. It was not cooked properly, the potatoes and eggplant were not fully cooked and were hard. It was disgusting and not edible at all. I also ordered the maca chocolate mousse. It had way too much maca and the maca flavor is overpowering. Overall, do not go there if you want to eat delicious food, or if you wanna eat at all.
I went there for the great reviews but was very much disappointed.
Pros: attentive staff
Cons: food, not cooked properly, not edible and flavorless

This is a unique vegan restaurant - the only one who doesn’t load your meals down with salt, sugar, and fats (oils).
Read moreOut of all the restaurants I’ve tried in the area, they’re the only ones who aim to hit the optimum of each healthy-eating aspect: very well-balanced macros, locally sourced, organic, vegan/plant-based, low sodium, no added sugars, no added fats, and ingredients good for the gut biome.
So yes, if you’re adamant about wanting higher levels of sodium (my meals there were 350–550mg, instead of the normal 1500mg you find at restaurants), you may want to bring a little salt packet!* ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I met the owner (Gwyn) and one of the volunteers (Cathy) at the Reston Farmer’s Market - both were kind, well informed, and personally love the mission of their restaurant and non-profit.
They also offer a subscription service for prepared meals each week.
I’ve tried their sweet potato lasagna and their kale/quinoa meals, both of which I loved!
*Remember that the 2300mg per day is the upper limit, not the required amount; the American Heart Association suggests what your body actually needs is around 500mg/day!
Pros: Low salt, sugar, and unnecessary fats, Subscription service, Much more to offer than just a restaurant
