Artisan venue, delicious food, friendly staff - Edit
Greendays remains one of our favourite places to eat. Tee often creates specials that will blow your socks off and Mama Greendays' cakes are from another world - just incredible! 💚

Great food, service & value for money - Edit
I arrived toward the end of the day. Whilst some options weren’t available, still plenty of variety. Really friendly, welcoming atmosphere & amazing food. Highly recommend. For £8 I got a soup with bread & amazing vegan pancakes. Then got given a free piece of cake to take home & that was delicious. Next time I would like to try the vegan brekkie

Cheap and cheerful - Edit
Friendly cafe with bright and cheery decor. Inexpensive breakfasts and toasties, with several vegan options.
Read moreThe vegan 'chimi' was a bit boring as it was mainly mashed potato in a tortilla wrap (and an overly spicy sauce).
The vegan breakfast had beans, curried tofu, sausages, mushrooms with onions, mash potato and tomato. It was 'okay' but I've had better vegan brunches. Wasn't keen on the scrambled tofu which had too much turmeric or curry powder and was dry. The toast was delicious though!
I'd come here again - probably not for breakfast - but for coffee and cake. The vegan bakewell tart was amazing and soya latte was great too.
Friendly staff, good value food and nice atmosphere. But the food could be slightly better (compared to other local options).
Pros: inexpensive, delicious vegan cake, nice coffee with soya or almond milk
Cons: some odd flavours on the breakfasts

Unique cafe - Edit
I only came here for a coffee but the cafe is quite inviting with its unique and eclectic collection of things, like visiting someones living room. They have several different dishes available. Unfortunately not a big selection of cakes when I visited.

Green Days Cafe, Liverpool - Edit
Since this is now being reported as having gone 100% vego I am happy to update the rating.
Read moreUpdated from previous review on Tuesday August 07, 2007
This is an upstairs cafe in Liverpool's South side running since Oct' '04. After a quick look I reckon there is approx:-
* 37 dishes listed on the menu in total
* 3 of these dishes are pescetarian
* the remaining 34 dishes listed are vegetarian
* around 8 or 9 of these dishes are vegan veggie
The menu frequently states clearly that dish variations are easily accommodated. Also the desserts aren't listed on the menu - you just take a look to see if there is anything you fancy in the display cabinet on that day.
For lacto veggies all the cheeses used are vegetarian. For me as a vegan veggie the lady working was more than helpful with what she could offer to feed me.
The tomato and vermicelli soup of the day that I had was thicker than George W Bush. The spoon stood up vertically in it unaided. The vegan veggie cooked breakfast that I then had was tops. Good atmo and helpful staff.
Suggested improvements:-
With assumption being the mother of all cock ups some labelling on the menu would be useful to spell out exactly which dishes are veggie and which are vegan.
Overall:-
I admit to bias to places with a 100% veggie menu but of course that's just my opinion (if this place's menu was 100% veggie I would definitely rate it higher than the already creditable 3 out of 5 that I did below). It's still a very welcome addition in Liverpool and well worth a visit (especially if you have a non veggie friend who refuses to eat veggie). I look forward to returning.
No connection with the similarly named American punk band so if you are a basket case going all the time for the time of your life I wouldn't expect special treatment.
Pros: Vegan friendly, helpful staff

Bohemian little cafe - Edit
Good food, cheap prices, lively and friendly vibe. Down-at-heel in a bohemian and endearing fashion. Friendly staff. Eclectic clientele. Shame it's not totally veggie, but one of the most veggie-friendly omni cafes I've eaten in. Highly recommended.
