19990 Highway 12, Greenbank, Ontario, Canada, L0C 1B0

Serves meat, vegan options available. A Korean-owned Japanese restaurant whose owner is open to suggestions. Vegans could get avocado rolls, the Greenland roll, and kampyo maki. Has brown, vegetable stir fry option, and a few meals/sides can be customized. Sells some food products for take home like soy sauce, brown rice, green tea with toasted brown rice. Closed Monday.

Pleasant Veg-Friendly Japanese/Korean Eatery - Edit

I've come to the Greenbank Restaurant for many years while living in Port Perry, pre-vegan and post-vegan, and I've found the adjustment easy. You can always clarify with the owner what is vegan and what isn't. She's very sweet and open to suggestion, and she seems to really care about her regular customers. Although there aren't tons of vegan options, some appetizers, like edamame, are vegan, there are quite a few vegetable sushi options, and a couple mains (vegetable stir fry, etc.) that are vegan. As far as I know right now, there are no vegan desserts (the only one I know of is green tea ice cream). So it's nowhere near 100% vegan, but I still always loving coming to the Greenbank Restaurant for lunches with my Mom or great sushi take-out!

Pros: Delicious Food, Healthy Options (ex. Brown Rice Sushi), Friendly Owner

Cons: Limited Vegan Options
