I didn’t like how everything is taste here. Maybe it’s “too healthy”, but food didn’t taste good 😩 Won’t come back..

Pros: Brownies

Cons: Cheesesteak!!!

Tasty comfort food

Unpretentious hole-in-the-wall, good food. Nice to have a number of items with tempeh. Latini Panini and Green Seed Burger were tasty.

Very Tasty!

Ordered online, food was ready as promised. It didn't last long! Both the sandwich ("Handheld" on their menu) and the sweet potato fries were delicious! I wouldn't hesitate to order them again. The only drawback is that there is limited, and very tight, parking on site. But there was no shortage of quality in the food.

Pros: Excellent food, Prompt service

Cons: Tight parking

Excellent

Both my mother and I grabbed dinner from Green Seed last week. She got the sweet porta panini and I got the cali handheld. We also both ordered the dill fries and sweet potato fries. Everything was made fresh to order and was super delicious. I will return to this spot very soon!

Oldest vegan restaurant in Houston

Glad to have visited this hidden gem. The cauliflower nuggets, sweet potato dill fries, and jackfruit burger were excellent. Only wish the portion of the burger was heartier.

Pros: Black owned, Food options, Staff friendliness

Cons: Limited parking , No A/C (but there’s a fan), Portion could be bigger

Delicious food, big portions at a good price.

This funky cafe has been here for years. Happy to see them surviving! They serve a good mixture of fresh veggies, grains, and imitation meat/dairy (for those who want it.) I love their kale chips.

Pros: All vegan!, Fresh food cooked fresh and served fresh.

Cons: Need bigger water cups.

Pros: Paninis, All vegan, Great service

Cons: Fries are a little soggy (to go) but taste good!

Nice Menu

Had lots of options including oil free stuff. We both had the BBQ sandwich. Tasted great. The fries were exceptionally greasy.

Cons: Gluten-free bun cost three extra dollars. , Bottled water was sketchy with no label.

Good food, good people

Had lunch here today and it was fairly busy. The staff worked as quickly as they could to deliver our delicious food. I got the chicken fried cauliflower sandwich which came on a hamburger bun. It was super good! I also got a side of seasoned fries and a GF brownie. The brownie wasn’t amazing because it was gluten free, but it was good as far as GF stuff goes. Certainly worth a meal!

Gourmet vegan from truck to restaurant - YES!

Refreshing review since food truck became restaurant few years back. Food as excellent, tasty, satisfying as ever. Frequented by vegans & nons, so the compact space gets crowded lunch & dinner time, & parking can be challenging.
Delicious paninis, all, and my favorite side is now the Cauli nuggets, which I would eat daily if I lived closer. Worth the drive.
Tasty, healthy, hearty affordable vegan food - YES!

100% vegan menu. Elixir bar offers non-vegan add in by request, bee pollen, which was requested by some customers.

The nation's fourth largest city is now playing big league in the foodie truck universe with Green Seed Vegan. Gourmet vegan food from a truck - who knew?
Highly recommend the Porta-panini, succulent, sliced baby portabella mushrooms grilled with mashed sweet potatoes served between panini slices. My side was the fresh-cut sweet potato fries, sprinkled with fresh dill and a hint of sea salt.
A berry blast smoothie rounded out my lunch - something to drink and dessert all in one.
Planning on working my way through the menu, as another reviewer mentioned.
It's a bit of a drive for me, yet one I will gladly make for food this good, at very affordable prices.

Fresh Tasty Food

I’d rate this 4.5/5 stars. My partner and I genuinely enjoyed this place. Nothing in the menu tasted artificial or manufactured, but rather made from fresh ingredients and pure plant material.

The ambiance is a small, casual yet cozy place and the service here is satisfactory.

Amazing food

Stopped by right before they closed and was so glad I visited! Came to Houston from Oakland for a conference and was pleasantly surprised to find such an amazing place that was walking distance to where I was staying. Highly recommend. Will return on my next visit! High quality food at reasonable prices. Very innovative as well (first time I ever had chickpea tempeh). I hope / assume the owners are BIPOC which adds an extra layer of special to this place. Could see this going toe to toe with any vegan restaurant in Oakland, Portland or LA.

Good food. Hidden gem.

I grabbed a grilled cheese and smoothie. Both were super good. It’s a nice little hole in the wall.

Cons: Small, Parking

Total hole in the wall

The food is delicious and the staff are very nice. It sounds silly but all the patrons coming in and out while I was there were also very nice. It’s nice to just be surrounded by considerate people while eating vegan food. The menu is extensive and picking something was difficult.

Decent Vegan Fare

This place has a few good vegan items, but not everything on the menu is a home run. Unfortunately/fortunately there is now some excellent vegan competition very close by that has caused me to pretty much stop going here.

Cons: Not everything is good

Green Seed

Food and service were great! Ate there for the first time while in Houston. Will go back when in the area. I had the Sweet Porta panini with sweet potato fries and my wife had the raw food tacos. Went back again today. Tried a couple of different paninis and their smoothies. Both very good. The order taker and server Christopher is great! 😊

Good food!

The food's good. The interior's decoration could use some love. The staff is nice enough if just a little tired/deflated?

I would happily order from home!

Pros: Lots of option

Cons: Decor

Healthy Vegan Food!

Warning: looks closed from the outside!

Living in Clear Lake, my access to any vegan food at restaurants is severely limited. I was really wanting to go to an all vegan place where I could choose from many dishes—not just to one vegetarian one with cheese removed… I also really wanted something fresh, crunchy, healthy. This is it!

Only drawback is that my Omni other half came with me and the only thing he could stomach ordering was the fries! They need a plain pasta and sauce and a black bean/corn/avocado/salsa taco for the omnis too hesitant to even try cauliflower or kale!
I ordered the Rawritto and the Notya Salad. Both were great—fresh, beautiful veggies! I wish I’d had time and belly room for the Rockin Tacos. Noticed them too late!

I even got a lemon raspberry cheesecake. Great coconut crust! Tasty even if it did lose its texture as it warmed a bit!

Pros: All vegan; makes me want to jump for joy!, Super fresh and beautiful veggies, Easily workable for WFPB too!

Cons: Almost nothing for unadventurous omnivores
