suggestions for improvements - Edit

I ordered the Mint Smoothie that did not taste like mint rather too sweet & ordered 2 of the raw food vegan salads that basically tasted the same. I ordered take out with a $1.35 environmental fee. The take out containers had oil stains on them. Not too impressed. They should model after NYC vegan restaurants that have higher standards.

Pros: good seating area

Cons: hidden kitchen should have open kitchen

great food - Edit

Awesome food. Kinda a long wait to actually get food. But worth the wait. Brownies, Cali burger, cauliflower nuggets and sweet potato fries are good.

Good on the go option. - Edit

Good selection of sandwiches etc for lunches and quick bites. The Latini panini was a good flavour combo, the fries were nicely seasoned but a bit underdone. Wide selection of juices, some pre made.

Pros: convenient to museums.

Cons: music is uncomfortably loud - we had to switch our

First time in Houston and found this wonderful vegan and mostly raw gem of a restaurant. Tempeh is very tasty. The cauliflower nuggets are so good. The smoothie was decadent.

Favorite vegan place ever! - Edit

I absolutely love this place! Everyone who works there is so friendly and educated on their menu. I've tried quite a few things, but my all time favorite combo is to get a latini panini, a mango fruit blend, and a root brownie. The paninis are a really good size and I usually struggle to finish them, which is good because then I have a snack later. They also have a very extensive raw menu, which is really unique for a place like Houston. I couldn't recommend this place more! πŸ‘πŸ»

Pros: High quality, unique food, Good overall vibe, Friendly staff

Cons: Prices

Underwhelming - Edit

I have tried two of their burgers (cali, dirty birque), and the rockin tacos. It was good but it was nothing particularly special. Food is expensive for the portion sizes and I'm always hungry after eating here - I'm a small gal! The lady at the register has odd behaviors as well; twice I've been there, she was nice and we were chatting, another time, she didn't greet me, no smiles, and didn't respond to anything I was saying. Instead, she silently wrote down my order and went to the back. It was strange. It was middle of the day, not busy, so there's nothing that warranted her attitude. I have heard this from other people as well, that she is either very nice or is extremely unfriendly. Don't know what that's all about. Aside from that, the cauliflower bites and fries are good. But again, nothing over the top delicious as some people say. I don't think what you pay is worth the value of what you get. Wish they would increase their portion sizes, even a little bit! I'm definitely in the minority here and at times, I feel like i'm lying to myself about how good this place is because people hype it up so much. Maybe I need to try something else.

Pros: Good music, Healthy

Cons: Expensive, Small portions

Lots of choice and delicious food. I tried a grilled sandwich, a juice, brownie, salad and side, everything very fresh and tasty, they also use vegan cheese which is a bonus.

Great Spot for a Healthy Meal - Edit

Green Seed Vegan is very nondescript from the outside. I didn't even think they were open. However, once inside, the space is small but welcoming with a nice vibe.
They offer a decent selection of raw foods as well as cooked, with fresh juices, smoothies, and desserts. The prices are reasonable for this style food. I had a delicious Notyo Salad with raw sunflower chorizo. It was super tasty, although not as filling as I had hoped...mostly microgreens, a decent amount of avocado, but not a lot of the sunflower chorizo. The cashew cream on top was pretty tasty. The juices are pre-bottled, but I think they are made onsite. I got a salted caramel cupcake to go. At first it seemed a little hard, like it might have been a bit stale, but it was actually really good.
I will definitely try to hit up Green Seed the next time I am in Houston. I will probably try a panini...the Tosh with maple garbanzo tempeh and grilled plantains sounds super tasty.

Pros: All vegan menu, Healthy Options, Vegan cupcakes

Cons: Tiny parking lot and inside space

Gourmet vegan from truck to restaurant - YES! - Edit

Refreshing review since food truck became restaurant few years back. Food as excellent, tasty, satisfying as ever. Frequented by vegans & nons, so the compact space gets crowded lunch & dinner time, & parking can be challenging.
Delicious paninis, all, and my favorite side is now the Cauli nuggets, which I would eat daily if I lived closer. Worth the drive.
Tasty, healthy, hearty affordable vegan food - YES!

The nation's fourth largest city is now playing big league in the foodie truck universe with Green Seed Vegan. Gourmet vegan food from a truck - who knew?
Highly recommend the Porta-panini, succulent, sliced baby portabella mushrooms grilled with mashed sweet potatoes served between panini slices. My side was the fresh-cut sweet potato fries, sprinkled with fresh dill and a hint of sea salt.
A berry blast smoothie rounded out my lunch - something to drink and dessert all in one.
Planning on working my way through the menu, as another reviewer mentioned.
It's a bit of a drive for me, yet one I will gladly make for food this good, at very affordable prices.

Love the food - Edit

The food is always fresh and delicious here also one of the staff ladies are very sweet and always welcoming! I love coming here! The only thing I would change is the size of the place and the fact that the menu is to small for my horrible eye sight. I squint at it for at least 20 minutes before ordering lol.

Pros: Great food, Great service , Fast service

Cons: Inside is pretty small, Wish they had little menus , Kind of pricy

Good food! - Edit

I liked the feel of this place - it's a small joint, so things feel a little more personal. Like a previous reviewer said, it looks a lot nicer on the inside than the outside.

I ordered the cauliflower nuggets and the Big Texas. Husband ordered the dill fries and the jackfruit burger. The items were fresh and of good quality but felt a little on the smaller side for what we were paying.

Pros: Healthy, Fresh Ingredients

Cons: Small Portions, No online menu
