Best sandwich I’ve ever had - Edit
This was my 2nd time eating at this particular Green Sage Cafe and it’s better every time somehow!! I got the kimchi reuben sandwich with sweet potato fries and s vegan chocolate chip cookie. I strongly recommend the sandwich and the fries were so fresh- just overall magnificent!

Ordered the Appalachian. Not the best tasting tofu scramble or root hash. Tempeh bacon and toast saved the meal.

Good find - Edit
Stopped here for breakfast before leaving town and was pleased to see multiple vegan options! They have oatmeal, tofu scramble, and tempeh bacon that comes in a few different dishes. The staff understood dietary restrictions and vegan and “gluten sensitive” options were clearly marked. Uses organic and local ingredients when possible. They also have baked goods available.

Bland bowls - Edit
My husband and I were passing through the city and wanted to eat something on the lighter side. We ordered the Zen Bowl and the Havana bowl. They were both really bland, but the Zen Bowl in particular was very plain tasting. We didn't even want to finish it. We ended up keeping it and incorporating it into a stir-fry later that day.

3/4 stars! - Edit
Visiting Asheville for a long weekend and wanted a filling yet not too heavy breakfast. Came here around 7:45 on a Saturday and only had about a 5 min wait to order!
Read moreI ordered the pura vida bowl made vegan and a side of tempeh bacon, while my partner (who isn’t vegan) got the egg ciabatta. We also ordered a cold brew and OJ.
The star of the meal was the tempeh bacon! It has this sweet, sticky sauce lightly on it (maybe a maple cinnamon or something?) and it’s SO good. Def get something with that in it. The bowl was fairly good, a solid, filling breakfast with lots of veggies, just not necessarily a ton of flavor outside the salsa verde. It’s also could be split between two people if you wanted to try multiple things. My fiancé enjoyed his egg sandwich, he wasn’t super hungry so it was the perfect size to not be stuffed with. The cold brew is pretty acidic, so we’re kinda meh on it, but cold brew fans might be into it.
Update: my fiancé and I swung by for a smoothie one day and while it was good to get some greens, the smoothie was just okay!
Overall, would recommend coming and trying this spot out! Lots of options for a variety of diet types, and cute cafe vibes inside.

Absolutely delicious! Wish this cafe was near where I live. - Edit
My husband and I ordered our own tofu scramble, split tempeh soysauge, tempeh bacon and ciabatta toast. I had a white bean and kale soup that was out of this world wonderful! Everything was delicious and repeatable. Worth the trip off of the expressway.

Loved the bowl - Edit
They have some yummy food, the bowl was pretty good. Personally I never understand why people order avocado toast because that’s literally the easiest thing to make at home but their bowls had some amazing sauces and were super good. The smoothie I got sucked tbh.... and no one came by to ask how things were so I guess they don’t do full service.

Simple, Wholesome Vegan Options - Edit
I really enjoyed my several visits to Green Sage Cafe! Their breakfast burrito was delicious, as was the Pura Vida bowl. I asked for the vegan version and they understood with no fuss or extra charge.
