Loved the bowl - Edit
They have some yummy food, the bowl was pretty good. Personally I never understand why people order avocado toast because that’s literally the easiest thing to make at home but their bowls had some amazing sauces and were super good. The smoothie I got sucked tbh.... and no one came by to ask how things were so I guess they don’t do full service.

Cons: Smoothie was sub par. Maybe unlucky with unripe, No one asked how things were

The staff was happy to explain which items could be modified to be vegan, and lots of menu items were already marked with the V to verify they were vegan. The Havana Bowl and Golden Milk vegan milkshake were both delish!

Simple, Wholesome Vegan Options - Edit
I really enjoyed my several visits to Green Sage Cafe! Their breakfast burrito was delicious, as was the Pura Vida bowl. I asked for the vegan version and they understood with no fuss or extra charge.
Read moreAfter my first visit they remembered my name and were very friendly. Food takes a while to prepare, and it can get busy, but a good place right downtown if you're in the mood for something quick and simple.
Great selection of locally made juices, kombuchas, beers too.
Pros: Friendly service, Most options can be made vegan, Veganized southern food

Green Sage had some wonderful vegan options including bowls and vegan baked goods. I personally wasn’t a fan of the biscuits and gravy but the Huckleberry bowl was divine.

Good options, okay taste - Edit
I was really excited to try the biscuit and gravy. It was fine? The Tofu scramble was similarly just fine. Wouldn't object to going back, but not excited.

Our first visit to Green Sage Cafe, will definitely be back. Staff was all extremely friendly and helpful. Many options for vegans and whole food people. Very accommodating about leaving ingredients out or adding ones. Coffee was very good. Overall excellent experience would rate it “5” stars if app would allow.

Sustainable, delicious, and swift. - Edit
We were driving cross-country and stopped in for Sunday brunch; we are glad we did! I had the Greenway with maple tempeh bacon and avocado toast which was great. The tempeh and toast was my favorite. My meatatarian husband had the vegan taco-trio which he enjoyed! They also separate compost and use sustainable materials which I greatly appreciate as well!

Very good spot! - Edit
My daughter & I split the TLT w/avocado (tempeh, lettuce & tomato) which was delicious! We got the brown rice tabouli as our side; very nice. They had a nice selection of cold teas that you could add simple syrup to. My mom got the biscuits and gravy; the gravy was nice, but biscuits a little dry. My dad’s pancakes were also on the dry side, but tasty. I’d definitely go back on another Asheville trip.
