the best breakfast in Oxford - Edit
The coffee hear is beautiful and the food was incredible. We had the bagel and the pan eu chocolat and it was amazing! I’d go as far to say that it’s the best vegan breakfast I’ve had since i chose a vegan diet 2 years ago. I highly recommend this place.
Read moreThe only tiny criticism I have is that if you order a coffee they will default to cows milk which is a shame when everything else is vegan.

Fantastic Brunch - Edit
I’m so glad we made the trek to Green Routes on our weekend in Oxford. Great coffee, lovely staff, efficient service and the food was fantastic! We shared a Bagel Baby and a Big Fat Dev…both were unreal. The atmosphere was really relaxed too, despite being very busy. I honestly can’t recommend it enough!

Delicious food, great vibe! - Edit
As far as we could tell fully plant based except that they offer cow’s milk in coffee. The food was excellent, the staff were super friendly and accommodating and the vibe was relaxed. Highly recommended!

Cute cafe with incredible food - Edit
This cafe is almost always busy on weekends - it's wonderful to see a veggie cafe with such a buzz! The whole menu is vegan and they have a selection of vegan cakes too. I highly recommend the bagel baby which comes with a massive portion of tater tots!

Couldn’t reccomend enough! - Edit
Food was absolutely amazing!! Whole family agreed it was delicious and well worth 5/5. Everything is vegan aside from the drinks, where they offer normal milk. Would highly recommend the “Baby Bagel” - the tater tots were amazing.

nice breakfast spot - Edit
I had the lemon and blueberry pancakes. They were a little too lemony for me, but I still liked it and I haven't been able to find vegan chai in a long time, so that was nice as well!

The most amazing pancakes - Edit
Came here for breakfast and had the most amazing pancakes - the menu was 100% plant based when we went with so many options. I had the maple syrup pancakes & shared some marmite tots which were INCREDIBLE - thought about them every day since 😂

Selection was smaller than expected - Edit
Went here on a Saturday for brunch and only when we ordered were we informed that only two options on the whole food menu were available: an Açai porridge bowl and a vegan bagel with fried potatoes. Many other customers had to find out by asking as well, since there were no signs.

Hey! Apologies for the smaller menu, it was the Magdalen road food fest that day so we were running a one off special menu of gyros and kebab wraps from 11 onwards which meant between 9 & 11 we could only do the bagel and granola bowl. Sorry this wasn’t communicated properly on your arrival! Hope to see you again to try the full menu!

Lovely cafe - Edit
A very lovely little quirky cafe, with tasty food at good prices, and they are almost fully vegan (they offer dairy milk for drinks). Yet to try a dish I didn’t like!

Astonishingly delicious food. - Edit
I've lived in Oxford for two years and finally made it to Green Routes and am now ruing not going sooner.
Read moreThe menu is varied and tempting, I went for the December special (I hope they extend it throughout winter!) Big Festdev with "pulled pork", slaw, mayo and stuffing in a pretzel bun. Life changingly delicious.
I asked where the pulled pork was from and it's the Redefine Meat brand. I will definitely be buying some!
They also did pleasingly generous tater tots side portions (if in doubt, share a portion!).
They allow dogs in too.
10/10. I'll be retuning soon!
Pros: Delicious food, Generous portions, Reasonably priced (for Oxford)

Veg & vegan cafe - Edit
Small, sweet cafe with great art, lovely staff, cozy atmosphere. The menu is different to the last time we were in Oxford, and to add, they had a “festive” menu. It keeps it exciting! There was a queue to get in and there was a constant influx of customers. While this may mean a wait time for a table, there was a good turnover of tables and is a sign that it’s a loved spot for locals—you know the food must be good! Takeaway coffees and baked goods available at the front counter if you want something quick. Cute front window to grab and go. Dog friendly😄
Read morePros: Flavourful food , Big portion sizes and a decent price , Artsy, bright space with neat atmosphere
Cons: Possibly short wait time to get in (I didn’t mind)

It is really appreciated that everything is vegan, and also have some dessert options which are really good as well.
I'd say I found some of the options a bit expensive for the size, but most of the menu is well priced.
Pros: Everything vegan, Delicious , Beautiful place

Nice decor, menu and community - Edit
Enjoyed the pancakes and breakfast burrito. The breakfast burrito was all about the vegetables and pulses rather than being packed with spices. Thoroughly enjoyed stumbling upon the cafe, especially as the breakfast menu was fully plant-based! They have evening events so they must have a great community.

Crazily overpriced but nice food - Edit
Read moreYou don't get much for your but what you get is yummy. Pastries are crazily overpriced, you pay £3.40 for the pain au chocolate when you get exactly the same vegan pain au chocolat (same producer) for £2.80 in the city centre. While it's nice to have a mostly vegan place in Cowley, I do not think that prices are justified.

The staff are really friendly, the food for Taco night is incredible. I’m not sure they always do it, it’s perhaps a limited time thing. That said, I’ve been for brekkies and they’re great too. They also do really nice coffee 🙂

Not fully Vegan despite reviews. - Edit
The restaurant serves cows milk as an option for drinks and the pastries they have are NOT vegan. They contain cows milk, butter and eggs. (Have sent an email to get it changed back but while it says vegan hopefully this can help those with allergens!! )
