Great local Cafe vibe with a seperate vegan menu. We've been a few times, ordering different things to try. We love the consistency in food quality. They know their stuff, and staff are friendly.

Read moreThe menu is varied and mainly typically Costa Rican/tropical. We had a very good feed here and the food tasted fresh.
We would have come back for a second visit, but at the time they were not accepting cards - as UK residents, there's only so much US$ (or local currency) we carry on us when abroad

I had the Beet Carpaccio opting for a lighter dinner option. Friends had tacos. All were enjoyed! Separate vegan menu, although we had to request it. I’m not sure why the vegan menu isn’t the default?! Choose vegan 🌱 is the most impactful thing individuals can do for the animals and the planet.

Loved this place - tucked away off the main street. Swings at the outdoor bar seating are fun. Food was very flavorful and good sized portions. We had the homemade chips and vegan ceviche, vegan quesadilla, and hippie bowl. Unique ingredients and combos you don't find at a typical taco place. Highly recommend.

Our server Juan were great and also told us about things to do around Tamarindo.

Absolutely loved my meal at Green Papaya - wish I could give 5 stars. I got the vegan ceviche and the Monte Verde quesadilla with jalapeño. So so flavourful and I wish we could’ve had the chance to go back.

They have a separate vegan menu upon request, which was great! Homemade flour tortillas, corn upon request if you’re gluten free. But I will say the tacos I ordered were a tiny bit weird. Mashed potatoes are entirely unnecessary in a taco. Super filling, but odd. Not complaining though. Seats are swings, which is a super cute idea, but also super uncomfortable

Many vegan options available...I didnt know there was a veganized menu after I ordered the ceggie burger hold the cheese...best fresh veggie burger I have had in Costa Rica. Fresh warm chips, guacamole, beans and pico de gallo were a wonderful start to a very enjoyable meal. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food in a tourist area; affordable if you stick to food; we indulged in a few margaritas😄
