kind staff but menu didn't excite - Edit
for Shanghai it's a good option.. love their mission statement and the staff was so helpful and kind.. I'm vegan gluten free so I had limited options. I got a curry soup dish and it was good. not that rich in flavor but it did the job.. next time I'm in Shanghai I'll give them another try.. Shanghai needs more places like this!!
Pros: great vibe, staff was eager to help, affordable

Tasty, healthy, and friendly - Edit
I had a very nice meal at green mix. I went for one of the set lunches, which included about six different items, offering nice variety and balance. Everything was quite pleasant. There's a good selection of teas, too.
Service from the mostly-young staff was warm and friendly, which I appreciated.
Prices are very reasonable. And there's a lot to browse in their shop, too.
Don't miss the upper floor.
Enjoy!

eco boutique with a nice little restaurant - Edit
Went to this place because it was close to the hotel I stayed and how lucky I was :)
on the ground floor is a very interesting eco shop with food, kitchenware and so on and on the upper level is a organic clothing section and the little restaurant. I had the Maitake in oil, which was nice and spicy and just what I needed. Also tried the red bean coffee. Both dishes were excellent.
There are also some seatings outside in front of the shop in a generally nice shopping street and a little park just opposite. Will definitely go there again when I return to Shanghai.

Awesome vegan place - Edit
Green Mix is an awesome place in that it is consequently vegan, and not just a vegan restaurant, but also a clothes and accessories shop.
The staff are very friendly and understand English well, they are also passionate about being vegan and understand that this also means no honey or similar products (which is not something you can assume in most restaurants in China).
When I asked the waiter where they buy vegan cheese in China, he sent me a link to Taobao by email so I could also order the vegan cheese - great service!
The food is good, there are many really nice Western dishes, e.g. the Panini, the Burger or the Burrito. I also tried the Mushrooms/noodle with Chili Oil, that was awesome but really spicy.
My only impression was that some of the dishes are a bit small for the price, e.g. the Burrito or the Burger, so you might need a few dishes to get full if you are really hungry.
Pros: Consequently vegan, Staff speak good English, Nice food
Cons: Prices for some dishes a bit high

vegan in China - Edit
The restaurant was easy to find and is located on a very interesting street of restaurants, bars and cafes. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We were surprised that the smoothies we came warm not cold. It didn't make them taste bad, just not what we were used to. Service was good even if the food came out in a strange order which seems to be the norm in China.
There is a large selection of clothing and accessories inside, all cruelty free.
Well with the visit.
Pros: menu is in English , great variety of options to choose from

not just food - Edit
Green Mix is an interesting mix between dining and non-dining.
There is outdoor seating in the front, and indoor seating on both levels (including a small Japanese tatami mat room on the second floor). On the first floor they also sell some grocery items, and on the second floor they sell ''non-violent fashion'' (see photo). There is a room there for trying on clothes.
I had the "mixed vegetable curry masala". It's a Japanese curry which was filling and delicious. Lemon-water is served in wooden cups, and the cutlery is wooden too. Rice is extra.
They also have lunch specials Monday-Friday from noon to 2pm.
Pros: an interesting place
