Serves fish, vegan options available. Luse Shiji is a shop and eatery run by a Taiwanese man. Light food is served downstairs; food and body products sold upstairs. Dec 2019 reported no longer fully vegetarian. First find Xia Ao Zi street, about 50m towards the sea and on the opposite side of Yanwu Street from the west gate of Xiamen University. Go to the end of Xia Ao Zi including along a single lane section (which may have addresses that include the characters Da Qiao Tou). There are many eating places on both sides along this single lane section. About 15m before reaching the end of this, where the Xia Ao Zi turns left, take a right turn into Ding Ao Zi Mao Jie (Ding Ao Zi cat street). Green Market is 20m along on the right. It is a modern looking shop that occupies both the lower floor (half below street level) and the upper floor. It is opposite the back wall and fence of the Yanwu primary school. It has some iron railings outside the lower level windows with some potted plants suspended from them and some little cat figures embedded in the concrete. There are also two big (75cm tall) cat figures diagonally opposite the shop back toward Xia Ao Zi lane.

Great little change

Mid-September 2017 :
We had two of the brunch items (despite it being evening) - the Chaoyang one and the Yuanqi one. The former was a salad and a Mexican vegetable roll that was stuffed full while the latter was a quinoa-based salad. Both came with a drink (soymilk or coconut and squash) and there was also a plate of dried fruits. All tasted wonderful and was refreshing change from Chinese Buddhist fare.

Pros: Good quality food, Excellent service, Nice atmosphere and reasonable prices
