Old School vegetarian - Edit
This place is cute, and it’s nice to have a vegetarian place in an area that isn’t super veggie-friendly. Food is old-school vegetarian (soy curls/seitan) salads/sandwiches. Dishes are kind of hit-and-miss; sandwiches are better than salads, which are primarily romaine lettuce.

Absolutely delicious lunch - Edit
I have eaten at Green Lotus twice recently. I loved the Maui sandwich in a gluten free wrap and the vegan chili so much that I had it a second time. I had the Athos green drink, also very good. My non vegan granddaughter loved her banana and nutella Sandwich and their granola. My daughter enjoyed a bowl of the vegan chili. I will definitely return. This is the best option for vegans that I have found on Cape Cod.

Extremely vegan friendly! - Edit
I am extremely impressed with this place! Green lotus is 100% veg/vegan friendly. Right when you walk in it says “no meat!” I got the ELT (eggplant lettuce tomato) with avocado and vegan mayo! I also got the peanut butter cup smoothie. One of the best sandwiches I’ve had. workers were phenomenal, explained to me they have vegan substitutes for all condiments and cheeses! Amazing. Will be back

Maybe we ordered the wrong things... - Edit
All of the breakfast dishes included eggs. You could substitute "soy curl chorizo," which we did with the Main St Burrito. It was not great but okay, especially in comparison to the "ELT" - eggplant bacon with lettuce & tomato, which became an "LT" because the eggplant strips were as tough as leather. We ate because we were hungry but were not impressed.

Great Vegan Food - Edit
In an area where vegan options are sparse (particularly in May before high season) this was a welcome find! Staff were quiet but friendly. Nice fresh vegan options and veggie choices for my omni husband.

First Impressions Die Hard - Edit
The first several times we stopped in while visiting relatives on the Cape, this place was our go-to. The vegan selections were numerous and the cooking excellent. The I would have been glad to have called the place among the best in this area. Then something happened; ownership, mgmt, the too common, often tragic surrender to a menu for the masses. Our latest and final visit had nearly insultingly poor service, a compromised menu with little care for vegan options and haphazard preparation that I need to follow-up twice on to correct.

Pros: Erstwhile good vegan in Hyannis
Cons: reduced vegan selections - no presentation, service is a vacuum, they disappointed us

Love the menu- everything can be made vegan - Edit
We had a wonderful lunch at Green Lotus Cafe. I can’t wait to go back. The entire lunch, my MIL repeatedly said, I can believe how good the ELT is. I thought my salad was delicious but you better believe I’m going to order the ELT next visit.

Super Cute and a Refreshing Change - Edit
It was so nice to get options that felt like a real sandwich. Everything was so good and fresh. I wish there was one closer to my home. The drinks were delicious too. Everything could be made vegan. The even have vegan blue cheese!

Meat-free oasis - Edit
With seafood very prevalent, I thought it would challenging to find vegan options on the Cape. This was the place to go! Food was excellent, atmosphere good, service a little wonky.
Read moreI had the Maui sandwich: freshly baked 7-grain bread, coconut bacon, avocado, pineapple, lettuce, tomato, sprouts, chipotle mayo (request vegan version). Delicious! Omnivore hubby got the Atomic Garden Veggie wrap, which he enjoyed.
Comfortable separate cafe seating area, with music, and the occasional sound of a juicer or espresso machine. When we ordered they gave us a number. We sat for a bit then noticed what we thought were our sandwiches sitting on the counter. I went to ask and she said she called it out. With the noise in the cafe area, her voice definitely was not heard for anyone’s orders. There was a nice gentleman (manager?) who brought some food to tables, and asked to clear our plates.
Overall a good experience.
Pros: Maui sandwich was delicious , Comfortable dining area, very clean, Right on Main Street
Cons: Service: call numbers so people can hear

Love this place! - Edit
Visited here twice during our stay in Hyannis. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather! It’s a great location on the Main Street. There’s so much choice of juices, smoothies and salads as well as everything else plus specials on the board. Anything can be made vegan, they can also make the sandwiches into salads if you’re wanting to avoid bread. The staff are super friendly and accommodating and the food is delicious! I would recommend the aubergine (eggplant) bacon, the peanut butter cup milkshake and the north park salad (they substitute feta for something vegan!)

The go to place for vegans on the Cape - Edit
I’ve been here so many times but realised I never left a review. Vegan options are limited in the Cape so this is a good spot to refuel. The wraps and sandwiches are generally good and they can turn any veggie one into a vegan one. I tried the Rueben for the first time this visit and it was delicious!

Tastey and Healthy - Edit
They have vegetarian and vegan options. I love that they offer fresh and natural options, rather than tons of soy/processed products. The sandwich with the smoky coconut bacon is really good. They also have tons of drink options- really good smoothie combinations and bubble tea!

Great vegetarian spot! - Edit
Had lunch at Green Lotus today for the third time, getting a vegan Reuben and a peanut butter cup smoothie. Both were great. This would be a good vegetarian restaurant any place, but particularly welcome on Cape Cod with there are so few options. Will definitely be back.

Cute veg place with ample vegan options - Edit
I have eaten twice for lunch at Green Lotus, and have been thrilled each time. I have tried a Mediterranean chickpea soup special, vegan "lobster roll" salad- which was hearts of palm, the buffalo Caesar salad with "soy curls" made vegan, a sandwich special, and a Thai bubble tea. All were delicious and filling, the portions were very large and I had leftovers each time. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and I was told "that's what we do here" when I expressed gratitude for the ease of veganizing menu items and making special requests. Service was speedy each time.

Vegan & GF options! Extremely RARE on the Cape - Edit
Spending a week in West Yarmouth was so very challenging, especially for breakfast.. Green Lotus Cafe was closed two of the days we were there or we would have went every day for breakfast and lunch. LOVED the portabello wrap!! I also really appreciated that they understood and wiped down everything before preparing my gluten free wrap without my having to even mention it. I have Celiac and cross contamination is an issue. I was thrilled with this place.

Good lunch spot while waiting for the Ferry - Edit
This is a good family-friendly spot for lunch while waiting for the island ferry. The salads and wraps are tasty and portions large. It's vegan friendly but the vegan creations were somewhat unimaginative. The juices area extensive but delicious. Overall solid friendly pace for good healthy lunch

Popped in here on our way to Welfleet for a pit stop and had some sandwiches and lattes. I was with my vegetarian husband and three meat eaters. Everyone loved their meal, and one of my friends couldn't stop raving. I love proving to people that veganism isn't difficult! Thanks Green Lotus Cafe!

THE spot for plant based food on Cape Cod! - Edit
I'd say this was a hidden gem, but most people know about it by now. GL is not only a cafe but a community. By holding potlucks and stuff like that, they bring together like minded people with food and conversation. Oh and the food is great too! lol

great vegan options - Edit
I called ahead to order and to find out what items were vegan. I was told by a friendly staff member "anything can be made vegan." Yay! He was also knowledgeable enough to know that the bubbly tea, sadly, could not be made vegan because the tea mix contains casein. I had the ELT and my husband had the Malibu. They had vegan chipotle mayo for the sandwiches and a vegan cheddar jack for my husband's. It was all delicious! I could be happy eating there everyday!
