The best vegan restaurant! - Edit
I've traveled the world and been to many very good vegan restaurants, I have to say without a doubt this is up there with the best if not the best. Fantastic menu, high quality tasty food, great portions, beautiful restaurant and lovely staff. We travel 2 hour round trip to eat there and it's totally worth it! Well done for creating such amazing food 😍

Insane. - Edit
One of the best vegan meals I’ve ever had honestly! Vegan fish and chips was amazing and the staff were so lovely and friendly! The decor was different and original too which was nice. No one else was there which was odd and service was a bit slow but not an issue if you’re with good company!

Once in a while you experience a meal at a restaurant that is flawless and special. Green Loft was that place. As soon as we walked in we just knew we were in for a treat with its splendid interior and relaxing, calming ambience. We shared the teriyaki skewers with Asian slaw, arancini balls and wild mushroom and truffle risotto. The skewers and slaw were absolutely superb and bursting with flavour. They were also beautifully presented. The crisp arancini balls were perfectly cooked and had such a depth of flavour with a delicious tomato sauce and parmesan shavings, while the risotto was creamy, perfectly seasoned and just the right 'melt in your mouth' texture. The truffle was not too overpowering either and portion size was extremely generous. We also opted for the Moroccan falafels for our young son (but we ended up eating most of it!) and those too were so flavoursome and crispy with a delicious yogurt dip. The two smoothies we had were also very refreshing. Sadly we were too stuffed for dessert.

Don't bother - Edit
We ate here early on a Saturday evening, hoping to be able to feed the kids while the place was quiet. No luck. Despite being the first customers in, and the only ones for much of the night, it was about 4 hours later that we finally paid the bill. We were a group of 10, so understandable that things might take longer than for a small group, but it really was ridiculous.
Read moreFood was of mixed quality. Kids food particularly was disappointing, as the chips were really salty and there was nothing healthy on the plates at all. Sorry Green Loft, if we wanted McD's we'd go there - you could do so much better. Some of the adult meals were pretty good though.
There's a focus on fake meat, but enough tofu and other options as well. Don't bother looking at the online menu though, as they don't seem to bother updating it.
Pros: Unique decor and ambiance, Some of the food was good
Cons: Service was far too slow, Kids food very unhealthy

Really nice - Edit
I loved being in a restaurant and not having to worry about which items might not be vegan. The decor and attention to detail was amazing as well. Also, if you have non vegan friends that are unwilling to eat vegan you can sit downstairs in the Mediterranean restaurant and still order from the green loft menu and they will bring the food down to you.

Lovely vegan food - Edit
The Green Loft was the first restaurant that I have been to that was completely vegan. It had a good selection of different menu options to suit every taste. I had arancini balls and my wife had lentil soup for starters. Followed by Thai green curry and vegan fish and chips. We both had sticky toffee pudding for dessert. All of the food was very tasty, the only drawback of a great meal was the slow service. We will definitely be back to try some other items off of the menu.

Best vegan restaurant hands-down!! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of ingredients and the attention to detail in presentation. Everything we ordered was seasoned perfectly and so tasty. The fish n chips and burger were the best i have ever had and would satisfy a meat eater. Me and my partner are vegans and really enjoyed the variety and excellent service here. Highly recommend and will definitely be back to try the other menu options. Dont miss out please eat here!

Every dish inventive and outstanding - Edit
The first thing that blows you away is the decor. The attention to detail that the owners have put into the building itself is incredible. It’s like a combo of American Country, German and Italian with other elements from around the world.
Read moreThe music was a fun collection from different genres like Tina Turner, Carlos Santana Spanish acoustic, Queen etc. Now we mention the food - every dish we tried was delicious.
*The farfalle pasta salad - delicious!
*The soup of the day was ‘curry-ginger-orange’ - which was a delightful mild creamy soup and we sampled from two relatives and wished we had all ordered one each. The two that did wished they could eat a second bowl!
I shared 3 dishes with my sister and had:
*Arancini balls - which were our favourite!
*Moroccan falafels - which I usually find boring but at the Green loft they do 3 different flavours and I am so curious as to how they created a tzatsiki sauce that tastes just like dairy but isn’t!
*Roasted vegetable strudel - filo pastry pie with carrots and root veggies made with a sauce that I would describe like a Rosa sauce - red pesto and mascarpone-like mix - but again completely vegan - came with roasted potatoes and salad with a lovely refreshing dressing like a Japanese rice wine vinegar/mirin - almost sweet chili like - so delicious!
There were 4 vegans and 1 meat eater in our group and the meateater doesn’t normally like eating out but he couldn’t stop raving about his experience - we couldn’t either - but his comments were more impressive because he’s not even a foodie like the rest of us are.
We shall be going to the Green Loft as regulars now - we love it that much and recommend this to all carnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike - for high quality food, ambience, service and good value pricing!
Go here if you want to impress anyone for any occasion!!!
P.S. when you arrive - park in the car park attached to the building (Not the one across the street) and then register your car with the waiter/waitress in the restaurant - they’ll show you what to fill in on a computer screen.
Best vegan restaurant hands down!

The Green Loft - Edit
The food here is great. Lots of choice and different flavours. They were also really good in catering for my friend who is coeliac. The service is a bit slow at times but that does mean that you aren’t rushed. It’s a very strange place to look at but that only adds to its charm.

Love this place - Edit
100% vegan menu. Staff very friendly and chatty, and keen to advise with the menu. The first time we visited there was a buffet so we got to try the lasagne, a Thai curry & the mock-meatballs. Also on the buffet were amazing desserts: salted caramel cheesecake, and a chocolate blueberry torte. The second time we ordered off the a la carte. I had the fish n chips, which was Fantastic, OH had the Hungarian goulash which he said was equally great. They change their menu every few months and seem very enthuastic about the food they serve. There’s a small car park at the back-just give your car reg when you go in.

Vegetarian Restaurant - Edit
Having recently turned vegetarian I wanted to see what restaurants are out there. First time visited geen loft. The decor is amazing and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was quite good , only I did not not like the sizzling kebabish type main was not tasty as I had thought. The rest of the food we had was very good and tasty. I would def will be back to try some other dishes. I found the prices for soft drinks very expensive, I mean £4.25 for apple juice if you have family it turns very expensive.

Mixed review - Edit
Fully vegan with good choices on the menu, I had the alfredo which was really tasty and creamy. Hubby had the traditional burger which had a lot of sauce in the bun so made it very sloppy. It came with very salty chips. Our 3 year old had mac and cheese which was ok, all 3 portions were huge. We also ordered starters of prawns and chicken drumsticks, both had potential but were over cooked. We were the only ones there so service was good. I was hoping it would be better and that we'd found a great vegan restaurant but not in a rush to return.

Yummy vegan restaurant - Edit
This was a nice surprise to find on Happy cow when we were in the local area. It was a bit confusing as to where the restaurant was but it is above the chillis restaurant at the bottom. Car park at the back which is a bonus.
Read moreThe service was good and the waitress was very friendly. I did not have a starter as there wasn’t really anything I fancied and had the lasagne for my main. The portion size was huge! It was really tasty but my one criticism was that it was FULL of peppers and it would have been nice to have known that before hand and maybe had it written on the menu as I am not a pepper fan. The lasagne sauce though was delicious as was the garlic bread and salad.
My other half had the falafel to start and meatball Hungarian goulash as a main which he said was tasty.
We did not had puddings but did see another person with a pudding which did look yum!
We would go back if we were in the area again
Pros: All vegan , Good portion size , Nice big & open restaurant

The Green Loft - Edit
Popped in for a light bite with a couple of friends whilst visiting Northampton. Unusual building with themed decoration. The Green Loft is on the first floor above another restaurant. Plenty of seating, only a few people dining in the afternoon, may be has more atmosphere at night. I had a chick’n drumstick style dish, it was quite chewy but had a nice flavour. The menu is extensive, plenty of choice. There is car parking available at the back of the building.

Tasteless food - Edit
The singapore noodles and the Thai red curry were really bad, super tasteless. The vegan sundaes were delicious. It’s a shame the food is so bland because you can see they’re making an effort to make from scratch, they just need to pay more attention to the actual flavours, quirky setting. I think if they improve their flavours they’ll have something lovely on their hands, right now it’s a bit of a shame
