Green Goddess Market & Cafe - Edit
Had options to sub in tofu and vegan cheese on a bagel for a “egg & cheese” bagel! Really appreciate that this place was here. They also did have tempeh option.

They also had soups, and baked goods that looked really good.

Great Vegan Options! - Edit
I’m thrilled to have located this lovely little market and restaurant. I had the roasted veggie sandwich with tempeh and garlic tahini sauce and it was delicious! The staff were so kind and delightful. I’ll be back!

Happy to eat - Edit
We come to Lake Placid every few years and it’s very hard to eat here as vegans. We had delicious wraps at the GGMarket. Veggies and hummus. Veggies were fresh, cold and crunchy. Hummus or garlic tahini was tasty. We’re not picky- just want to be able to eat.

Vegan Oasis - Edit
It was sooo challenging to find anything to eat while exploring Lake Placid, and this place was an oasis! They have several vegan menu offerings, including sandwiches and soups. I ordered the lentil soup and a veganized Reuben, which included vegan cheese, vegan Russian dressing, and tempeh, and they were both fine. Not really restaurant quality or particularly memorable, but edible and enjoyable. Considering the price, portion, and the lack of options in the area, it gets a thumbs up from me.

Great option in the area - Edit
Such a great store and wonderful cafe menu for anyone, but especially for those needing either vegan or gluten free options which we need. It isn't easy to find that in the Lake Placid area and we ate here twice over the weekend. Super friendly too!

Almost no vegan food and extremely pricy - Edit
There were no ready to eat vegan food when we where there, except for some salads that were looking old (and very pricy). Fruits and veggies were expensive too (like a 4,50$ orange) and even the soy milk was overpriced. We went to Hannaford and the same brands were at a normal price.

Go to place for vegan snacks - Edit
It's our favorite place to grab vegan food in LP since it's not a really vegan-friendly city. They have vegan sandwiches, salads and muffins ready for take away.

Great find - Edit
We had a great breakfast! They have a kiosk that allows you to build your own breakfast burritos and bagels, with options including tofu, tempeh, avocado, and more! Kombucha on tap, and they carry many of the vegan essentials. The staff (owner?) was very friendly and drew us a quick map of a nearby hiking trail.

Would try again based on others experience - Edit
I was really excited for a VGF lunch. I had the goddess wrap gf. The wrap was crap and fell apart before I could even pick it up for a so gle bite. Filling was tasty but very small, maybe 3/4 of a cup of filling in total. There were very very large chunks of red onion and cut cabbage. My husband has generally had good experiences here and he LOVED the reuben he ordered. I would come back and potentially change to three stars of my meal was better.

Good vegan options - Edit
This market had healthy vegan options. Sprouted flourless bread, prepared salads and smaller vegan brand foods. If you are tired of the usual fried and unhealthy vegan choices, the best bet is to stop at a market like this one and make your own lunch/dinner

We are visiting from out of town and are thankful this exists. Their sandwiches are better than the wraps for sure. Salads are delicious. Baked goods are yummy.

Vegan Options + Zero Waste Bulk Aisle - Edit
Great natural market that has a large zero waste bulk section, tons of vegan snack options and vegan refrigerated/frozen foods (tempeh, Tofurkey, veggie dumpling and wontons, SO products, Ripple ice cream, etc.).
Read moreThe prepared food menu has clearly labeled vegan options, such as the Reuben and a tofu breakfast scramble, but most things can be made vegan by leaving off or substituting diary cheese for vegan cheese (when I was there they had daiya), substituting meat with tofu or tempeh, and non-vegan condiments for those labeled vegan.
Pros: Vegan options, Zero waste bulk shopping , Outdoor seating

Huge lunch & smoothie & juice selection - Edit
This is a fantastic little breakfast/lunch counter within a health food grocery store. Most of their breakfast items have eggs, but you can also substitute a tofu scramble. They have a very big smoothie and fresh juice menu, with all the typical superfood add-in options, almost entirely vegan. You can also turn the smoothies into a bowl. The day I went they had two hot soups, both of which were vegan. They only serve hot meals a couple days a week. The café is inside a little health food grocery store, which also has tons of vegan items, and a small fresh produce section.

Must come for lunch - Edit
We had our lunch at whiteface mountain restaurant as we were at that area and they were so good to offer us some vegan options. If we knew that green goddess food is that good, we wouldn't have mind to drive that extra 20 minutes to eat here.

Delicious vegan food - Edit
Tons of delicious vegan options. I got the vegan egg-scape and the funky monkey smoothie and they were both phenomenal. There aren't too many vegan places in Lake Placid so I would've happy if this place were just "decent." But it's delicious!

Snacks, Sandwiches, and Smoothies - Edit
This place had lots of vegan and vegetarian options! They had lots of chips, sandwiches to grab and go, as well as sandwiches, salads, and smoothies to be made on the spot. The vegan queso blew me away! (They also have a smaller location with less groceries by all the shops by Mirror Lake).
