Pleasantly surprised - Edit
So reading the latest reviews on this place made me a little nervous coming here, but it seems that they’ve definitely taken some steps to make their menu more vegan friendly by making a chart of what contains dairy and whatnot behind their counter, and when I called ahead to ask and requested again at the restaurant, the worker who helped us was super friendly and accommodating! They even put an allergy warning on our ticket to make sure there was no cross contamination :)
Read moreI got the falafel plate and my partner got the vegetarian plate. Here’s where it gets a bit tricky, there is actually no exclusively vegan options on their menu, anything you order will require customization. On the bright side though, they let you substitute the things that are not vegan for things that are! An example is my partner substituted their pita bread for rice and the baba ghanoush for a bowl of cucumbers.
The falafel was to die for, I loved it so much and their hummus was super tasty! But food quality and friendliness aside, I feel like more could be done to accommodate such as offering an explicitly vegan option for their plates on their menu (like a “Make it Vegan for free!” option under a standardly vegetarian menu option with a list of their vegan sides), and I hope that they do so. More vegan options is always plus especially at a restaurant that serves most of their menu with an animal product on the plate. (If the restaurant is reading this, your falafel is amazing!! You guys got the talent please run with it 🥹🙏)

Nothing is vegan but the salad very disappointing. - Edit
I walked in and a bunch of kids were at the counter and didn’t even know what vegan was! You are in the restaurant business. I would think they would have better training.

I had a similar horrible experience. The guy at the cash register said he didn't know what vegan was, that he was the manager, and that everything is premade. I asked three times if he could look it up or ask someone. He simply replied no the times. He never apologized. He said I could try it. What the heck?! I finally left, and my partner got a refund on his order. Nightmare.

Big portions - Edit
The hummus is right on point! I was expecting for more vegan options, unfortunately they can't make modifications cause most is pre-prepared. Even though very friendly personal, just double check asking for dairy free if you are vegan. (Pita bread has dairy)
