Green Common for the win

Green Common has never failed me. The menu at Green Common Nexxus is probably a bit “fancier” than the menus at their other restaurants. Set lunch menu was extensive with various western and Asian fusion dishes. Great service and delicious.

New and creative vegan food

Unlike the other Green Common shops, the shop decoration painted in aquamarine blue mixed with white colour is eye catching. I like the corner of ground floor which provides wooden coffee tables and seats. First floor is dining area, making reservation is preferred. A room is available for a private group of customers. There is escalator outside the restaurant. Toilet locates outside the restaurant too.
Some food and beverages are only offered in this shop, like ochazuke, croissant, cinnamon roll, Omni Tuna & cucumber bun and organic matcha latte. This is one of the few shops offers breakfast combo (no breakfast during pandemic as the opening hours changed).
I think the overall price is quite high, however, some food cannot be found in other vegan restaurants.

Good experience

We were in a bit of a rush and close to this Green Common so decided to check out for dinner on a Saturday night. Strangely there were only a few other tables of guests, maybe because it's new?!. The staff were attentive and friendly. The menu here is inventive. The 1st Floor is a restaurant rather than cafe, and is a higher end version of the regular Green Common cafes, so probably somewhere to go when you have a bit more time. Most dishes contain some form of mock meat, so may not be to everyone's preference. The Ground floor has the grab and go section.

We tried:
- Omnituna nachos - I was a bit nervous about trying this, but I liked the taste! it is a dip made of omnituna, avocado, and some kidney beans, served with nachos. Good for sharing.
- Sanbei Omnipork with sizzling seasonal veggies and Koshihikari (Japanese) rice - they poured a wonderful sauce into this and it did indeed sizzle. Very enjoyable.

Plant-based restaurant 2.0

An elegant plant-based concept store which allow you to grab a coffee or drink or sit down to enjoy vegan Asian fusion dishes on the first floor.

I love the ochazuke made with OmniCrab most, it is really really delicious!! And you shouldn’t miss the Pani-puri (also made with OmniCrab)

And you can also find vegan-certified wines and sakes here.

I enjoy the environment, the food and the drink!

Pros: Various food choices, Delicious starters & mains

Cons: Can turn the air conditioner up a bit

The most innovative, mind-boggling plant-based cuisine in town.

I mean...where do I even begin? We ordered like, almost every dish on the menu and everything was just so exquisitely prepared, well thought out, unique, brilliant, damn! Portions are not massive, which means there’s always room to try more dishes.

The real stars of the show, ranked to my current opinion:

1. OmniFish skewer - maybe my favorite dish in HK, period. Just mind boggling. It’s very fishy and very aromatic and just, wow......

2. The omnicrab ochazuke (茶漬飯) - such a rare delightful dish! Usually vegan cuisine tends to be heavily seasoned, but this dish is so light and yet so beautifully flavoured.

3. omnipork crispy rice rolls - the mala sauce is INSANE

4. omniseafood laksa noodles - so rich and hearty, totally worth trying, for real

5. omnicrab pani puri - once again, light but beautiful

6. Heura Caesar salad - the smoky chargrilled heura “chicken” surprised me! Not a usual fan of caesar but this was on point.

The store also comes with a grab and go drinks bar. The lippy tea is one of the greatest vegan creations in town, and the matcha latte was also incredibly rich.

A must-try for everyone and anyone.

Pros: Innovative cuisine, Rare showcase of the latest omniseafood

Cons: Quite expensive, but worth the try
